I recently visited Parker John's BBQ & Pizza in Sheboygan and was unfortunately underwhelmed by my experience. I ordered the Texas Two Step dinner, which came with a hefty price tag of $39.99.

Sadly, the brisket was a major letdown - it was dry and lacked the tender, fall-apart texture I've come to expect from good BBQ. For a dish at this price point, I expected a much higher quality.

While I appreciate the variety of options on the menu, my experience with the Texas Two Step dinner fell short. Perhaps other menu items would be a better choice, but for now, I'd caution others to think twice before ordering this particular dish.

It's ok if you drink enough. First round of endless is great but every plate after is never as good as the first.

Our server was very pleasant. She made me aware of the happy hour going on at the bar so I could get 2 Not My Parker's Root Beer, which were delicious. My husband enjoyed his Bloody Mary & his Andouile Mac & Cheese. My kids liked the boneless wings & fries. They also enjoyed cracking peanuts at the table. The cheese curds & cauliflower wings were good, too.

GREAT bbq restaurant. We had a bit of a wait, which was totally okay because of the cool river walk outside!

The food was outstanding with great portions. The service was top notch!

Fun environment and great food. Huge servings means plenty of leftovers. This was a great place to go with our toddler as there were tons of cool things to look at around the restaurant and it was loud enough to cover any whines and meltdowns.

Be aware they do serve peanuts as an appetizer - as someone with a peanut allergy this made me nervous but the server was very good about noting my allergies.

From the time we got out of the car to this place, I knew it was going to be a good experience. And I was right!!! We were seated right away upon entering, went upstairs and were seated at a table with a nice view of the water. We didn't wait long before our waiter, Nick came and introduced himself. He was very informative about the menu and everything we ordered was good. We ordered the Pitmaster. We ordered ribs, wings and burnt ends. The onion strings and waffle fries were good too. Look out Famous Dave's, Porker John's has some good food. We'll definitely be back.

I will start with the good. Amazing views!! And we did have a good server, Nick. He was attentive and timely. Same can be said for the bartender. Food is average, we had a BLT pizza and it wasn't anything to write home about. Cheese curds were good, fried pickles were really good. But here's what really irritated me. I called about 2 weeks in advance to see if they took reservations as were showing up with a large party. I was told no but call ahead and we can get you on the list. Ok fine, so I did. I called about an hour ahead and assumed they put us on the list, I did give them our arrival time. I was wrong. My sister arrived first and they got an attitude with her when she asked for my name. Keep in mind we all arrived at the time we stated we were going to. We were told 30 minutes but it was almost an hour. When I arrived (about 2 minutes after my sister) and was told what my sister was, I asked to speak to a manager. Upon telling her why I was upset she copped an attitude and basically said sorry we don't take reservations. That was not even my complaint! It was the fact that I was lied to several times by their staff which is unprofessional and shows a lack of proper training. I would not return based on crappy management, lying employees and mediocre food.

Parker John’s has great food, service and atmosphere. Definitely, try Wing Wednesday and buy a cool shirt on your way out.

I don't care what anyone says Parker John's makes the best wings in the world, everything else I've had was pretty good but those wings will knock your socks off boy
