I booked our reservation a few months back for the loft area, and our check in the hostess tried giving us a different area. This was our 35th wedding anniversary celebration. The meal was good but lacked that special place feeling. I would not go back here again, just treated poorly.

My granddaughter (an adult) and I ate outside here one evening. Our server, August, was just amazing. We were here over 2 hours and although we had both been to Italy this was one of the best meals we ever had. We had 5 courses and August did not rush us explaining each of our dishes and answering our questions thoroughly. It was simply a delightful experience. We have been singing the praises of this restaurant since we left. You won’t be disappointed and will want to go back just as we would like to return. Rustica salad is unique and you just want to keep eating it and the veal ossobuco oh my. My granddaughter and I agreed that we are sorry we couldn’t try everything and hope to find a way to return. Thank you for such a lovely experience.

It has nothing to do with classic Italian cuisine , I played at the Whistling Straits golf club and everyone was talking to me about the Stefano restaurant and they intrigued me, we went there and I asked about Stefano and they told me that for a long time there is no more !!!!! the new all-American staff who now runs the restaurant, I am Italian I run a restaurant in Germany for 45 years all-Italian staff, we ordered a couple of dishes (bruschetta, soup and grilled calamari) after 40 minutes there we left!!! You don’t live by photos taken long ago ‘on the tripadvisor put by customers when Stefano was still there! Sorry from Italian not advisable!!

From the minute we stepped in, we felt that we were valued and that everyone there wanted our visit to be the best it could be. We were impressed by Stefano's commitment to quality, locally produced ingredients like the dry aged-beef sliced thinly for carpaccio, which was arranged around a hill of perfectly dressed arugula. Our waiter truly put his heart into serving us, so much that it was at some times almost like watching theater - and the dishes he recommended - the carpaccio, rustica salad, and the special lamb lasagna with bechamel sauce, were excellent. Even the house bread and olive oil were fantastic. If I have one negative to share it is the price of the cocktails - but they are generously sized. If they sound sometimes like they are bragging about how everything they serve is the best...well, maybe the are right.

This past Saturday night I planned on taking my sister out to a special dinner. As a past guest both here and at Il Ritrovo (at least once every couple weeks) I know the food is amazing and worth every dollar. Unfortunately this past Saturday I was embarrassed to have taken my sister there. We walked in and sat at the bar that only had about 6 other people sitting there. We sat and sat and sat. No one acknowledged us, offered us any drinks or drink menus. We sat for over 10 minutes waiting for any acknowledgment and nothing. Another woman walked in the door, up to the bar and they immediately acknowledged her and got her a glass of wine. My sister and I were very hurt and didn’t feel like we were wanted there. We ended up just walking out and no one said anything to us at that point. I know the 3 bartenders that were there that evening are newer, but an acknowledgment goes a long way.

I never mind paying for a meal but the stars and price let me down. You can’t charge top price and not have good product. I want fresh this was not it

so happy to have visited! the ingredients were so unique and tasted SO high quality. after browsing the menu i felt like i could choose anything and it would blow me away. the cocktails were well crafted and the meals were very well done. our highlight was the smokin barb cocktail and their chicken dish - so tender & juicy accompanied by the best prepared potatoes. also our server had a lot of character and passion and totally added to our experience. loved ending the night with quality espresso.

We ate at the bar and had Ashley as our bartender/server. She was amazing!! Very knowledgeable about the menu (food and drink), gave us great recommendations and exceptional service.

Started with the bruschetta, pasta for dinner (I enjoyed the Casarecce Della Nonna) and finished with an incredible banana gelato. Amazing Italian food and great service, we will be back!

Parking: Parking after 5 p.m. on weekdays is free, along with weekends. Before 5 it is metered parking.

I parked in the back lot and walked through the alley to the front.

A friend suggested this restaurant and we drove over from Road America event in Elkhart Lake. It was worth the drive. I am 74 and italian is my favorite. I have been a domestic and international traveler for 48 years and this place I would go back to once a week if I lived in Wisconsin. The service and food were perfect along with the young lady host. Perfect.

This restaurant is a hidden gem in the Midwest. We discovered it during a birthday weekend celebration while camping at Harrington Beach State Park, and it exceeded our expectations for a "nice" dining experience to culminate the birthday. This establishment stands out as one of the finest Italian restaurants I have encountered. Dining here evokes the comforting sensation of being welcomed to a grandma’s / nonna’s kitchen, where every dish is a testament to home-cooked, soul-satisfying Italian cuisine.

The food is exceptional, complemented by a vibrant and engaging atmosphere. It is evident that the staff take genuine pleasure in their work, as reflected in their demeanor and extensive knowledge of the menu and its ingredients—a notable asset. The ossobuco was superb, and the Trenne Donna pasta, with its rich array of flavors, was nothing short of extraordinary.

Though I am not of Italian heritage, the experience transported me to the warmth of my Armenian grandmother’s kitchen, blending the charm of home cooking with the sophistication of fine dining. Each bite evoked nostalgic memories of cherished meals, leaving me profoundly satisfied.

I highly recommend this restaurant; it certainly merits far more recognition than it currently receives.
