Did hibachi with a group twice in the last few weeks (have been there other times in the last few years with same experience). Food is always good but the service is terrible. Had to wait over 45 minutes until anyone came to our table (we had reservations both times). We were there over 2 hours total each time and got our drinks refilled once, appetizers were forgotten until we said something over halfway through the meal, bill was wrong both times (overcharged). Not sure how the reviews are overwhelmingly positive when everyone we've been there it's been subpar at best.

Extensive menu selection with a variety of options. Everything we ordered was delicious and very reasonably priced. We were served quickly, staff was friendly, and the restaurants atmosphere was calm even though it was pretty busy during our visit.

Never had any problems before tonight. Placed our drink order, got that. Then waited 15 min before she came back and then placed our appetizers order, waited 30 min still no appetizers, and never came to check on is. And never came to get our main entrees. Was there 40 min and still no food.

Got seated quickly, but we waited 20 minutes and still no one asked if we wanted anything to drink. 3 tables came in after us and got served right away. I had to flag down a waiter to order our drinks. She was friendly, but then I didn't get the soup and salad that came with my meal. Food was ok. Nothing special.
Used to be my favorite place they have gone down hill the past year. Last time I ordered take out and there was a hair in my food. I wasn't mad that there was a hair but I was upset with how they treated my fiance when he called to let them know. Just completely unprofessional.

Pick up order. Food tasted a bit off. Black hair was found wrapped around the steak on one of the meals. The hair color did not match to anyone in the household. When called, the manager refused to reimburse the singular meal. She would only remake the food, which went straight to the trash.We hadn't gone back to Umi's in about 6 months because quality of food had gone down and decided to try them once again.Will not be going back after this treatment.
The food is consistently quite good, with some off days. The sushi is the best thing to get imo.Avoid going on Friday evening without a reservation, you will wait forever.The decor/blanketed windows aren't doing any favors. It is pretty dark and often too loud for a decent dinner conversation.If you dine in expect to hear the accursed happy birthday music at least 2-3 times.Parking: Good luck
Food was good. Salmon wasn't as good as it normally is, didn't seem cooked all the way. Vegetables aren't always cooked all the way. Way too many onions not enough broccoli zucchini or mushrooms. A person in our group had a wire type material in their food and all they did was give $7 off food. A little disappointing. Steak and lobster was excellent. Crazy roll was delicious. Rice is always good.
