The snipe I got from that twenty something bar maid was nothing less than inexcusable. One cold beer, how hard is that to accomplish without being mouthy?

Came to Sheboygan for a bachelorette party. This place was great DJ had a great playlist and seamless transitions, everyone from the bartenders, to bouncers, to just the people in the bar were so nice and friendly. Pricing was great!

Will not be returning as we were threatened to leave and locked out of the building once we did after suggesting they add a sign saying their pull tabs machine is broken. If you want a friendly atmosphere and a fun vibe, go anywhere else.

The bartender was very rude, and the service was very slow. The pull tabs machine was broken, and we politely suggested they add a sign, they said, “no one else has complained except for you so we won’t do that,” then one of the staff threatened to “hit the old lady,” (one of the moms in our group who is not old). Would not recommend, there’s plenty of other great places to visit!

We stopped at Vreeke’s on a whim. Started off great, bartender/atmosphere was friendly and inviting. However, we put $20 dollars in the pull tab machine to find out that one of the rows wasn't working. We told the bartender so hopefully others wouldn't make our same mistake and she informed us that we should have known because the one button for that row wasn’t lighting up. She proceeded to tell us it wasn't her problem and she wasn’t going to hang a sign up to let others know because she didn’t want people to think it wasn’t working (so they could still play the other 3 rows) which is literally scamming people out of money.She then proceeded to threaten “to punch the old lady in the face” (one of our group members) and locked us out of the bar.I genuinely feel like this is a very poor reflection of what could have been a great place to hang out, but dishonesty and disrespect will always be a no for me.

Some things never change Vreeke's tavern has been staple on Michigan ave for decades. Even though the bar has changed hands one aspect has not it's still attracts younger crowd. Never aging as so it appears I remember the original proprietor. My guess is she wanted it to be that way.

This is a beautiful, quaint, charming little bar but that's about the only nice thing about this place. Our sodas didn't even have ice in them. We had to ask for straws and the soda was flat. The kareoke dj was too busy having a social hour to be a dj. What a sad waste of beautiful space with so much potential. I likely won't return.
