A great place to stop for a bite and a drink while you're biking the Oak Leaf trail. Be sure to check the hours... it didn't open until noon on the day I visited.Kid-friendliness: $2 popsicles and drumsticks!

I discovered this place when I was on the Oak Leaf Trail, I cycled past it many times before and stopped by finally, I bought the Bavarian hot dog which was excellent and the Hard Cider which was as well! I'll be stopping by when I'm on the trail

We had a great time at the Hubbard Park Lodge for Sunday brunch. The food was very good except for the waffle which wasn't crisp. The fruit, ham, potatoes, and cherry bread pudding were all scrumptious! The walk to the lodge is beautiful and the building itself is to be enjoyed. Great time - different than a normal meal.

Great spot to stop for a beer off the oak leaf trail! We love to go for a bike ride and stop for a liter. You can also drive and take a short walk to get to this beer garden in the woods. Perfect outdoor vibe not far from downtown Milwaukee with great German beer (and other drinks).

Went there for fish fry. Ordered take-out to eat in Beer Garden. We left our phone # to call when the order was ready, but never received a call. When I went in to check 40 minutes later, a bag was on the counter. It was our order. When I asked how long it had been there, I was told "not that long." Fish was rubbery. Potato pancakes were rubbery. Basically inedible. The operation is desperately in need of adult supervision. Poor service. Inedible food. One star is generous.

If maybe you’re over beer/wine and want a lil liquor, and the lodge is open, you can get drinks at their bar and bring them out to the beer garden. :)

So much fun to sit in the woods with a beer in your hand, a trail on one side and a river on the other.

Someone told us this place was cute and had great food. It was literally one of the worst dining experience I have ever had. We went for this fish fry. Deafening polka music. Something was seriously wrong in the kitchen. We waited almost an hour for our food. No one in the dining room had food. When we got our meals everything was burnt and terrible. The fish was the worst. Coconut shrimp disgusting. I actually could not believe it. Would never go back.

We were very happily surprised to find this peaceful, shady beer garden right off the Oak Leaf bike path. Really an unexpected pleasure -- best beer garden in the city! A nice selection of beers to choose from, convenient to stop by on your bike, and really an amazing casual setting on the picnic tables beneath huge trees.
