I have been a frequent customer at Northshore Boulangerie and I enjoy many of their dishes. A couple of my favorite items are the Baked French Onion Soup and their special, Autumn Salad. With that said, I am currently on a restrictive diet and while I know dining out isn't always the easiest, I knew I could get the harvest salad and it would fit my diet. I cannot have the dressing that comes with the salad, so I requested olive oil and vinegar. To my surprise, they do not have olive oil and offered me canola oil instead. I was shocked because this is a finer cafe and I wasn't expecting to be offered canola oil for my salad. It was disappointing.

I love this restaurant. The quality of the food is excellent, atmosphere is charming and you will not fine better bread in Milwaukee period. The staff and owner are very friendly. I have seen a few reviews noting slow service, it is a small business and they have limited staff but it is worth the wait. Shorewood is lucky to have such a fantastic coffee, breakfast, brunch and lunch option.

We celebrated my sister's birthday and it was an awesome experience: everything was cooked and served with perfection! Our waitress Jasmine was the most accommodating and made our family gathering a very pleasant experience! Thank you!

We love this neighborhood boulangerie! We come here at least once a week. The lunch menu is amazing, the coffee is fantastic and their baked goods are out of this world. The staff is so friendly and all around great people! During warmer weather their patio is a great place for coffee and lunch. You won’t be disappointed.

When I first stumbled upon the North Shore Boulangerie, I loved the Parisian theme and longed to be back in France. I bought two of their pan au chocolat (aka chocolate croissants). "It's just like Paris," said the guy behind the counter. Having recently returned from France, I thought, "Yeah sure." When my boyfriend and I tried them, we were both pleasantly surprised. The flavors were balanced between the buttery pastry and the chocolate filling. We have also dined in for lunch. Our server was very sweet and friendly. She had a lot of recommendations and was enthusiastic about the food. It really made me more excited to try it. I ordered from the specials menu - French Toast made with cinnamon brioche bread, topped with sautéed bananas, candied pecans, and butter. On the side was a raspberry and cherry compote. Three slices of thick cut high quality bacon and I was officially in love! North Shore Boulangerie is a pleasant place to enjoy some coffee, pastries, or lunch. We will definitely be back!

Lovely Parisian themed cafe. Tasty pastries and coffee. I will have to go back to try their lunch options. Perfect spot of a relaxed weekend morning coffee.

Espresso 8.4/10Ice Vanilla Latté 9.0/10Muscles 9.2/10French toast 8.8/10One of the best brunch/breakfast places in the Milwaukee area. The muscles were perfectly cooked and drowned in a tomatoes based sauce that I would have drank straight out of a trough if they had served it in such a way. And the bread that was served with it, a beautiful sponge center to soak up all the juicy goodness with a crunchy crust that balanced the texture without destroying the roof of your mouth. Honesty top three muscles I've ever eaten and I've had them in Michelin star restaurants in France. The French toast was great and not drowned in high fructose corn syrup, thank the heavens. It was instead served with a generous drizzle of their in house made raspberry spread. The light sweetness of the berries and rich creaminess of the whipped cream paired perfectly with the franch toast. The secret is out, so if you plan to come on a Sunday or Saturday for brunch, book a reservation. The owner and Master Baker has a PhD in Yeast biology and studied in France, and buddy does it show in the breads and pastriesParking: Plenty of free street parking in the areaWheelchair accessibility: No stairs

I love this place! I always visit them when I come to Milwaukee. So cute and calm environment. Very simple menu and very good authentic French baked goods and coffee. I wished they had souvenirs so I can always show my love for this place. I recommend the croissants and the Demi-baguette

I love sharing reviews of great food places and this place gave me great pleasure! Met a friend there for lunch and had their special of the day - a pecan crusted walleye that was melt in your mouth delicious with mashed potatoes and green beans. Big lunch, I know, but then I was full for the rest of the day! A perfect little vanilla macaron followed… also a slice of heaven - just chewy enough and very fresh. I highly recommend this little gem of a place and am looking forward to making a return trip. The service was impeccable.

I used to love coming here and have been a regular for years. Today, a quiet Monday morning, I stopped by for an americano and quiche and tipped like I always do. It was about 10:30 and the place was empty. I sat in one of the tables by the window. Barista approached me to say that at 11am a woman is coming in and she likes to sit at that table and I’ll need to move at that point. I smiled and said ok, shocked at the absurdity of the statement. I also enjoy this table, which is why I sat there. I’ve lived in NYC most of my adult life and have never seen such VIP table nonsense as this.At 11am the cafe is still mostly empty and I’m still enjoying my coffee. I resolved not to play the game. But then the manager approaches me, offers me a to-go cup and tells me I need to make the table available. After being made to feel so unwelcome, I won’t ever go back. Hope the shorewood VIP enjoyed her lunch, you’ve lost a lifetime customer.
