1st time eating at Polanco Mexican Restaurant. We tried the 3 mini chimichangas, shredded chicken taco salad and quesabirria tacos. We all enjoyed our food. We ordered pick up and it was ready quickly. Also got some margaritas to go. We will definitely be back.

This tasted like really authentic Mexican food. We had fajitas and burrito Mexicano. The refried beans and rice I usually pass on them, but these were actually amazing!! Great flavor and texture. Highly recommend this restaurant.We did take out, and if I may provide one suggestion, it would be to put foil on the bottom of the Styrofoam container so the Styrofoam flavor does not impart on the hot food. However, that goes for any restaurant using Styrofoam containers.
Amazing place! The first thing you'll notice on entering is that the entire restaurant is beautifully covered in murals done by regional artist Ricardo Flores. We were told they closed the restaurant for a month so he could complete them all. Don't miss the smoking man mural behind the wall. Staff are friendly, chips are hot and refilled often, two sauces with the hot one actually having a nice degree of heat. Nice selection of beers and cocktails; margarita specials. Food was very good and flavorful; our party tried two styles of fajitas, both of which were served sparkling hot; the El Chapo plate which was a fajita variant with grilled jalapenos and cactus; and chile rellenos that were perfectly textured. We were there for a birthday and received a complementary fried ice cream that was the best I've ever had.

Lovely decor and very friendly staff and the food was fantastic! Just what I needed after a long day of travel. I had a combo with three items all distinctly different, and each one was perfectly prepared. I’ll be back!

Went last night for a family dinner of 6, and I would not recommend this place. We had a reservation, but we were one of 4 tables in the whole building, and we still had to wait over and over again for service. We had to ask 3 separate times for chips, and never once got a drink refill during the 2 hour dinner. 5 out of 6 of us got our food, and the 6th had to wait another 10 minutes for their food, but when she got it it was the wrong menu item and ingredients. She sent it back, and the hostess said it would just be a couple minutes and they would take it off our bill for the inconvenience. 10 Minutes later she got her order, but still was not what she had ordered, but was at least the proper meat so we asked for it to go since all of us were done eating, and ready to go. The Bill came, and the meal was still on the bill, so we nicely asked about it and maybe we miss heard. She took it to her boss, and he came back with the server, and said that the "Owner" would not allow it to be comped because we are taking it home! Keep in mind the order was still not what she wanted. He told us because the server messed up that they would take it off the bill, and the server would be required to pay for it to make us feel guilty! The server was almost in tears, so we gave her cash that she would have to take out of her pocket! In no world should a owner require the servers to pay for such a simple mistake that could of just been rectified with a proper apology. We are a very easy going family, and have all worked and managed restaurants, and we are just amazed that this would be the owners policy. I have never left a bad review but after the way the manager treated us we feel this needs to be addressed and made aware!
