The Slinger House Pub & Grille

The food is always good but the service is consistently slow. Whether you’re waiting to be seated or waiting to order it has ALWAYS taken forever. I keep coming back because the food is good and I think “maybe the service will be better this time” but time and time again I am wrong. The Night Owl down the street has just as great food, better service and lower prices. It’s not as “pretty” but in our book it’s a 100% better experience.

Great place, it's beautiful inside. All the staff is friendly and polite. The food was delicious and looked good too, as you can see in the photos. Only regret, is I wish I would have photographed the interior for added viewing pleasure.

We wanted to find a non fast food place to eat a late lunch after visiting the state park. I found this place on Google. They have a long bar and tables in the bar for seating, but just off to the side is a long narrow room with tables. This was quieter than the bar. It also looks like they have a large outdoor deck for summer seating with many heaters above. It has the old fashion brick walls. Our waiter was friendly and attentive. Great menu with a lot of variety. The portions are HUGE! I ordered a gyro and got 2 large gyros. My husband ordered a full serving (vs a half order) of chicken nachos. It would have fed both of us. The chicken was wonderfully seasoned and delicious. We brought food home. The bartender welcomed us upon arrival and said to sit wherever, and thanked us on the way out. Someone was at our table in minutes to take our drink order. Food came quickly too. Will definitely go again if we are in the area.

First visit...Hostess found us a table as we showed up without reservations. Large beer selection,,, The food was outstanding from the French onion soup, the Spinach Artichoke breadbowl appetizer, to the burgers, french dip, and salads. Waitress was very attentive and checked with us. We willbe visiting there again.

Went for lunch.. just had a black and Bleu burger with waffle fries.. was pretty good.. 2 of the people I was with loved the chili they had. Was busy but didn't have to wait long for food. Would go back again

I would have given 5 stars if it were a couple months ago. There seems to be some changes to the menu due to competition from a new bar next door. The food has always been great, but the menu change feels more like 'bar food' now. A family outing will be great but pricey.

Absolutely love the atmosphere of this place! Second time here. Had a patty melt at the bar that was most excellent! Service was also very good. Third time here. Patty melt was again excellent. Tried the fish combo bucket as well. Potato pancake was way too crusty almost as if it was deep fried. Shrimp was very good. Bluegill and perch were not very flavorful.

We went to Slinger house for weekday lunch. We ordered the Reuben sandwich with soup of the day, and the shrimp and mushrooms risotto with french onion soup. Both soups were good, we really enjoyed the french onion. The portions were large. The Reuben tasted amazing and the risotto was good - I did enjoy it and got two meals out of it, but I expected it to be lighter and wouldn't get it again. Overall, good service and experience.

Everything was great! Very Wisconsin! Get the pretzel with beer cheese spread… sounds basic but it’s extra! The Thai bowl was awesome too, great dressing!

The place has a lot of charm. All the food was great. My only negative is the onion soup was too salty but that could of been an easy mistake. Can't wait to try the fish fry Friday!

A little pricey, but the food was flavorful and delicious! I had a pizza and my mom had the salmon BLT. Would definitely recommend to my friends and family nearby and will return when I'm in the area again.

1st time there. Delicious! Had french onion soup and the bacon, avocado, lettuce and tomato sandwich.

I had their perch and it was fantastic!! Plenty to eat and even took some home. Going back to try the cod!! Loved it!!
