Amazing food!! The staff is so friendly and makes amazing drinks at the bar! Took a little while for the food to come out but gave us time to eat our appetizer and drink while we talked! The place is gorgeous and is great to watch the water while you drink and talk with friends. Highly recommend!!

We stopped in after visiting Taliesin and we were glad we did. It’s a short ride into town and worth it. My wife and I each got a sandwich and added the salad bar. It was two meals for the price of one. We filled up on soup and salad and each left with our sandwiches. I felt like we beat the house on this deal. I got the Turkey Pesto Panini and it was cooked very well. The best part is both sandwiches held up well for our 1 hour ride back to Rockford IL where we were staying. I highly recommend going here if you’re in the area. Really nice staff, clean and very affordable.

Lovely interior. Great view from the dining room, but obscured at times by patrons who needed to smoke.
Two of us had burgers and they were great, however we spent the entire time swatting flies we were told are coming in from doors on the water side.
Old Fashioneds are a favorite. We were quite disappointed in their version. It was soda and cherry juice. When asked, we were surprised they didn't try to remake and improve. We asked them to refund one of two drinks and they did, which we appreciated.
We were really looking forward to this place but can't recommend based on our experience. I think they might need to consider a designated smoking area that isn't directly in front of the dining room windows, additional training for the bartender who was working the bar on Oct 8th, both in technical and soft skills, and try to implement something to reduce flies in the dining area.

Food was okay, salad bar was out of lettuce and almost totally out of spinach. The prime rib was cooked well, but personally found it a bit tasteless. The atmosphere was awesome with gorgeous views, and the drinks were really good! I’d say worth a visit!

Our waitress (Dawn) was so sweet! The chocolate lava cake with icecream was VERY YUM!!!

Went for my birthday for the Friday night fish fry. We were a party of two. Since no tables for two were open in the dining room the hostess pointed to a table in the bar area. There were two people standing up with drinks at the table. We didn’t want to kick them off the table so we went back to the hostess. She showed us to a table for four in the dining room. We waited ten minutes for the waitress to come over so we ordered drinks and our meals right away. We were just finishing dinner and I had half my drink left. The waitress came over and asked if we would be done soon as she had a party of four waiting for a table. I chugged my birthday drink and we left. Big mistake. We go there frequently but not anymore. Don’t go if you are a party of two.

The gouda mac and cheese bites are a MUST, and so is sitting on the patio and enjoying the ambiance.
Not very fond of the chips coming w the sandwiches instead of a choice of fries, but that isn't a deal breaker.
The atmosphere is great, especially w the aquariums w the river fish for kids to see and experience.

Excellent location to sit and watch the river flow. Food was very good; Italian Wrap and Turkey Reuben. We watched a group of four walk across the channel to a small island. Beautiful views all around!

We stopped here for a quick meal before hitting the road. There was a beautiful view, but it got old after sitting there with flies buzzing around us for over an hour and a half waiting for our salad to come out. It was very busy, but two rounds of diners around us got their pizza and burgers before we got our salad. We would have waited longer if I hadn't finally tracked down the server to ask about it. She brought it out to us and the grilled chicken was lukewarm meaning it had been sitting for a while. The flavor of the dressing was good, but the lettuce was swimming in it. Finally after two hours, we were able to leave this place, never to return.
