They are not lying, THE best pie in town, probably the best pie in WI and MN. The type of pie that you actually want to eat the crust. Kind of pricey but they serve generous slices. I wish it was closer to home! We will definitely stop back if we are in the area again!

Stopped by on our Great River Road drive. Come every year. This time though the service in the restaurant side was poor- the teenagers were kind and helpful but the middle age woman taking orders should not be in front of customers. Yikes.

I did love the cheese and wine shop and the man working there was top notch. Very helpful, knowledgeable and made the stop worth it.

This was my first visit and would love to be able to go back! But I live in Kentucky. The service was so friendly and the atmosphere was fun. Not to mention the pie! It was voted the best in the US and I can see why. So many options! And obviously made with love. The sandwiches I saw go by looked delicious but I only had room for pie!

Gluten free sandwiches and pie! It was all delicious.

Dietary restrictions: Gluten free bread and it sounds like they always feature a GF pie. We had macadamia nut pie. SO good!

Best pie in America? Yes indeed. This place lives up to its hype. The diversity of pies is incredible, and it seems like each achieves an incredibly high standard. We had four in our group, and we each ordered a different kind of pie. I had white chocolate macadamia while my husband has Stockholm apple (essentially deep dish with crumble topping). Each slice was extraordinary.

Also, the general store is an absolute joy. All kinds of preserves, kitchen implements, and cookbooks. Quite a nice alcohol selection, too, with cold and room temperature bottles; they had numerous local ciders as well as New Glarus beer. They even had a fantastic cheese cooler that specialized in Wisconsin cheese (as is only right), and I bought an assortment.

Service was impeccable. The team is so hospitable. We did some wedding photos there and they were so thrilled to see the pictures a year later !!
