I was here to shoot pool. I ordered a Bulleit Burbon, neat. After it was poured I was told it was $18. Not acceptable in Stoddard, WI when a bottle costs $30 - let alone telling me after the fact. I’m a generous patron but this was pure robbery.

Another great stop south of lacrosse Wisconsin on 35 along the beautiful Mississippi.

Food was great. Wife had a gyro, they told us its real lamb made on a spit and it was real lamb steak shaved, not the hamburger stuff other use. it's a small town, small town bar so no it's not currently roasting on the spit behind the bar. Certainly it's made then portioned and saved, but was excellent none the less. My cheeseburger was very good as well.
Bartender told us he was new, and you could tell that was true so I have no issue with the service, we all have to learn.
Big City prices though... $9.00 for a pint whiskey and soda mixed drink... $9.00!!!! In a small blue collar bar. To be clear, this was supposedly a double, but the alcohol in it wasn't a double. Perhaps new bartender thing, but that drink in Green Bay would be $4-$5.00 in a similar type bar.
The tender was very attentive to our questions but he and the cook spent their time with the locals as others have said. It's the only bar in town... lesson learned.
As we were leaving a local said cans of beer are only $2.75.
Food was great! drinks... not so much.

Stopped in at the Thirsty Turtle and grabbed a pizza. Great little snack — hot, tasty, and really good for the price. Friendly spot, I’d go back again.

We had the small cheeseburgers and fries. Delicious! I'm a burger snob and they get a thumbs up! I've never been able to finish mine. Yummy!

They CLEARLY only appreciate locals. Asked them to make a margarita and got asked if we knew where we were. A margarita is a basic drink!?!? C’Mon now. Food was avg. service was mid and drinks were served with an attitude. My boyfriend and I felt like the bartender had no interest in our business. Very displeased. I would consider getting rid of the young blonde bartender. She’s the last person I would consider friendly.
