Went here for lunch today. I ordered a patty melt, which comes with French fries and side salad (had other choices, but chose those). When the very small salad bowl came, there was a lot of brown and slimey (looked like it had froze) lettuce in it. I began picking it out, but there was too much, so I asked the waitress for a new salad. The owner was in the kitchen and appeared to take my salad and dump it in another bowl and added a handful of cheese (all with no gloves). The salad was more cheese than lettuce! Oh, and there was STILL nasty brown, slimy lettuce. I picked out the nasties, took a picture and ate the rest. As we were eating the rest of our food, which was actually quite good, the owner was walking around pouring coffee, etc., and I stopped her and showed her the lettuce (I had placed it in a napkin) that was in the "second" salad. She told me that they got their lettuce fresh from Merrill (I assume Merrill Distributing) on Thursday and that it comes in a big bag, and she can't help it if there was some nasty lettuce in the bag. She accepted no responsibility whatsoever as the owner and the cook, for the nasty lettuce in my salad. She offered a snotty apology for there being nasty lettuce in my FREE food. My salad was NOT free. It was included in the price of the patty melt I paid for! When she left my table, she angrily grabbed the napkin with the nasty lettuce in it and crumpled it up in her fist and walked away. If she had been even the least bit apologetic, I wouldn't be leaving a one-star review. Additionally, cleanliness is not their forte. The cook/owner was wearing a pair of red pants where the right butt cheek was absolutely filthy from her wiping her hand on her a*** She uses her bare hands for everything, from dumping French fries onto a plate to putting a burger on a plate. She used her bare hands that she had wiped all over her a*** Not even a spatula! I could clearly see this while sitting at my table. She also spoke quite loudly about my salad to the two other employees. The burgers are nothing more than frozen patties that are cooked on a flat top and them plopped on the grill. Nothing is fresh. The salads are made from lettuce that comes pre-chopped in a bag, rather than fresh lettuce. From what I saw, this "restaurant" merely heats up frozen food. I'd much rather have fresh food cooked fresh!

Owner was very rude, menu was very small and not a lot of variety. When my order was wrong and had something I was allergic too on it, was given dirty looks and could hear owner (who made sure to let us know she was the owner) taking poorly about us.

Our group has breakfast at Miss Jen's almost every Tuesday at 8:15 AM. Jen chooses her breakfast special that day based on what she thinks we would like. Our server is very friendly and insists that we drink water between cups of coffee so that we don't get dehydrated. They even provide larger coffee mugs for us. Highly recommended. Food is great as well.
Had a great breakfast, eggs, sausage & potatoes. I went with a business partner & he was very pleased also. They opened at 7:00 AM. Our waitress (no mask) was extremely pleasing & offered us coffee often.
