I went to a place I used to love for their chicken wings, sandwiches, and especially their crunchy wings and good biscuits. I hadn’t been there in a long time, but my past experiences were always positive, so I decided to stop by today on my lunch break.
Unfortunately, today’s experience was horrible. I spent about $40 ordering food for myself and my coworkers. Although a gentleman kindly blessed me by paying for the meal, that doesn’t take away from the fact that the experience itself was completely disappointing.
When I first arrived, I was told they didn’t have wings because the heater was broken and that it would take 25 minutes. Since I was on a 30-minute break, I decided to settle for chicken strips instead, trusting the quality because I’ve had them before.
Less than a minute after leaving the parking lot, I bit into one of the biscuits from the six-piece meal and it was rock hard—completely inedible. The wedges were also overcooked. I was extremely frustrated.
Once I returned to work, I called the restaurant and spoke with a young man who I initially thought was the manager, but later learned was a cook. He spoke as if he were management and said that when I came back, they would “take the loss.” That statement really bothered me because the loss was mine—I was the customer who paid for the meal, regardless of whose money was used.
When I went back after work, instead of remaking the entire order or offering a sincere apology, they gave me only two wings, six biscuits, and the same bad wedges. The interaction made me feel as if they assumed I couldn’t afford the food, which was never the issue. The issue was quality and customer service.
I’ve included photos of the wings so you can clearly see what was served. I don’t know if this restaurant is going downhill, but based on this experience, I give it a zero out of zero. I had recommended this place to my coworkers, but I will be letting them know otherwise.
Management needs to speak with the cooks about customer service and ensure they are not serving biscuits that have been sitting out and are no longer fresh. The manager and the GM Emily, the manager and Matt, the GM this used to be a 10 out of 10 recommend but at this point this is a zero out of zero do not go. Please talk to your cooks and your staff so that they can give the customers better experience than the one I encountered today.
No flavor to the chicken please get the little boys out of your kitchen That's sat and talk the whole time.
The young lady said that she pushed on the biscuit to make sure it was soft, but she should've done was tested. The edge is not the middle.
And to make those employees, totally aware, I have to throw everything in the garbage. I didn't even eat it. I was so disappointed. Just got this food about 1520 minutes ago.

I been going to this truckstop for the last 26 years. This truckstop has always one of those stops that was always packed full. With the simple iron skillet. Truckers want a place to have a home meal and not another fast food stop. Love the upgrade and the service. What is holding this place back is the food. Majority of my moving buddies has said the same thing. They would plan their down time at this truckstop if the food was better and have more selections. I had to walk to the bar down the street for breakfast. That is money this place isn't making walking right out the door. Again, staff and facilities is great. The food is doing this place a disservice.

The Tailgater Burger and Ruben sandwich were delicious. Very good Blackberry Old Fashioned. Very good service - friendly waitress and our food came out quickly. They had a band playing tonight - good band and good music, but just a bit loud for the size of the venue. Overall, would come back.

No good anymore
Staff and the dining area were fine. The food was incredibly underwhelming. My blt was incredibly overpriced for what I got for $14 and my wife's cranberry chicken salad likely had deli meat in it.

Horrible service. Extremely horrible. Im all smiles, order my food, sit down patiently wait to be called. Playing clash of clans. Some minutes later a guy orders, gets his food, and now im curious. I only ordered a patty melt, jambalaya, and some sodas. So I go to the register, and logically and respectfully inquire of my food. The girl at the counter look at me like i am crazy. Then acts like she doesn't know what im talking about. Looks at a guy. He dont know what im talking about. So I pull out my receipt, then the little girl no younger than my 3rd child has an bad attitude. Seriously. For no reason at all, just an awful attitude towards me. Was I not supposed to have my receipt. Also she was looking at me crazy when I was ordering my food to begin with. Just all in all, weirdness. I'll never go back. Even if I stop again at this TA, I'll never order from these people. Hopefully the food will be better than the service. The service was horrible. I didn't do anything to deserve it. And foolishly left a tip because I always leave tips. I worked retail once. [ EDITED ], BURGER WAS COLDER THAN MY SODAS. Jambalaya was warm. Why even ask me if I wanted pink or well done if its gonna be colder than 33⁰ temperature outside. What did I even do to these children? Its to weird of an situation to assume somehow I didn't offend this millennial crew. I had to have done something, im just to old to know what.
