Ahnapee Brewery, Green Bay

My absolutely favorite brewery in Wisconsin! Always worth the visit, in both Suamico and Algoma. If you are not sure what to try, you cannot go wrong with Cherry Mechanic!

Outstanding product & staff. Bartender Terri was welcoming and attentive. Papa IPA is a rare find ~ an old-school throwback to clarity uncomplicated bitterness. Only 10 minutes from downtown Green Bay! Great experience.

Just opened a bottle of their Papa IPA, and surprisingly good and representative of the style! It was in a mixed six-pack from Woodman's. Would recommend!

A nice selection of styles and some tasty brews. Bathroom was clean, and the staff very polite and friendly. A very pleasant venue, though you may struggle to follow conversation if you're hard of hearing. The venue is not especially noisy, but there isn't any soundproofing, so if it's busy, it might be a little challenging to hear well. The partnered restaurant delivered hot food in a timely manner. Mac and cheese was pretty good and the Texas toast an excellent counterpoint to the darker brews. Particularly enjoyed the cherry sour and the nitro porter.

Very weird employee talking about how he likes exotic women and his girlfriend is not as exotic as he would like her to be. I tried expressing my discomfort along with my friends with the conversation but he was not picking up on it. I had to leave with my group because he kept talking about it and it was making all of us feel uncomfortable. He seemed to have been intoxicated.

Beer was average, atmosphere was lackluster and the patrons were the types of folks that use the "r-word" regularly and talk politics even after being told to stop...
A bar is only as good as the folks on both sides of it and if that's the crowd you enjoy you'll love this place but it's not mine.
