Stopped in for a drink and some appetizers between a wedding and reception. Great atmosphere. Friendly staff and generous portions. Prices are good. Definitely will stop again when in the area. Guessing prime rib would be great

We been in this bar several times years ago. Started going to the other Wouters cause it’s simply bigger and easier to get seated. Also it’s closer for us. Recently visited back to Wouters Front cause the other one stopped serving broasted chicken on Sundays. The bartender (Jill) greeted us with a “ long time no see, who pissed you off? Cash?? (The other bartender) and laughed at us! Threw her coworker under the bus and assumed she was the reason we had not been in. Jim is great there and always makes us feel welcome. Wish I could say the same for Jill. Don’t worry Jill, we won’t be back!

The Wouters family has had a love of softball since 1965 and has strived to be “the place” for it since then. They have owned several buildings in Brown County but in 1974 they landed at their current location, which has a softball field in their backyard. I have had the pleasure of watching several bar league softball games here.
Tonight we decided to try them out for food, specifically their fish fry.
We ordered their cheese curds for an appetizer, a bowl of clam chowder, the baked cod with a baked potato and the all you can eat haddock.
The cheese curds were delicious, squeaky and cheesy.
The clam chowder was very silky and smooth, however needed some salt and pepper.
The baked cod was a very nice size piece of fish,but the preparation was lacking.
The haddock normally starts with three pieces but the server suggested to start with four, which I did. They are very favorable sizes of fish. The batter is nice and crispy. The downfall though was that there was zero seasoning.
The portion sizes are great. The prices are great. The food was just too bland.
The restaurant/bar overall had a great atmosphere. The service was fantastic, quick and friendly.

Had their pizza and that was excellent. However, when we were just finishing and put our tip in front of us the guy that was bartender walked past and picked it up and he did not do anything for us. Sure hope he gave it to our Waitress!!

we were there last night, and have eaten there before—“chicken “. we thought there was only 7 of us, well 2 more ppl showed up. it was very unexpected. the service was terrific, until 2 more showed up. i apologize to Wauters, we now had 9ppl. it was not intentional. we asked for more chicken- 1 platter was not enough, it never came, we asked for drink refills, never came, had to ask for gravy, gravy came. we’ll try again another time, never had this happen before.

Great chili! Came with a personal tour of the new outdoor addition from the owner. Have been here a handful of times and enjoyed every time. Lots of great soups. There are always a lot of nice people here. The staff is courteous and hard-working.

The food and drinks were phenomenal. We had unloaded bloodies, prime rib cheesesteak sandwich, grilled chicken sandwich and the hot chicken sandwich. All amazing and the tots and onion rings were perfect. The service was impeccable as we sat at the bar. We even ordered three 9 inch pizzas (not par baked) to go for dinner! Excellent vibes, service and food! Highly recommend!
