First time visiting. Nice atmosphere. Friendly, fast service. There is a story behind the picture on the wall if you want to ask! Family working there with heart. Surprise biscuits with cinnamon honey butter. YUM!

Biscuits are hard as other reviews suggest Gravy is envelope gravy (🙁) Mexican eggs were awesome and hubby said best pancakes around.

I come here a few times a month and the last couple of times the breakfast food wasn't up to snuff. The service is always great and the place is very nice so I hope they can fix the food piece.

Worse fish fry in town . It was like eating mush was grease and the chicken noodle soup tasted like it was in a cooker for 15 hrs . Only thing that tasted good was the crackers that came with the soup.

I was in town doing a side job and had to stop at this small town diner with amazing Oreo pancakes and a great humble atmosphere.

We decided to try May Mays Cafe (formerly Ruby Mays) last night for dinner. We got there about 6pm. We had steak tacos with salad and a grilled chicken wrap w/sweet potato fries. They also brought us a couple rolls that James thought tasted like Sopapillas. They came very warm and with a cinnamon butter. They were delish!
The waitstaff was friendly and kind. Her and the cook collided while going into the kitchen and spilled the SP fries, so she brought me a few on the plate that didn't spill and then got me more. The 2nd batch were cooked much darker and she was very apologetic about them being overcooked but actually...they were better...and for me PERFECT. I love all my fries or chips cooked so they are crispy. I will order them extra crispy from now on.
Quite large menu. Prices are good. Nice staff. I don't know if they take card...maybe they do? But they do have an ATM if needed.

Well...very small....only 5 tables...waitress was great all around...cheese curds were edible...Ranch was more like mayo and 10 BUCKS!!! Certainly not worth that...buns were very very good! Deep friend she said...different but good! My husband and I both ordered hamburgers...I bit into mine and immediately knew something was wrong...smelled it and it was DEFINITELY bad meat...looked at my husband's and his top bun was COVERED in mold!!!! We immediately got up to pay the bill and leave...waitress was very kind and didn't charge us for anything...so we tipped her and left ruining our appetites for the rest of the day. Oh! And....VERY expensive for a small side of the road Cafe to begin with! Burger was $14 bucks itself!

Didn’t have any of the issues the recent reviews state. Everyone liked their breakfast- we had biscuits and gravy, French toast, and omelet with home fries. All of it was good. Waitress was busting her butt, other girl seemed to just stand around.

Fortunately I cannot agree with some previous comments regarding MayMays...I have been there several times..and love the place. I get biscuits and gravy and they have always been great...my sister had the waffle and was very pleased...service was great...server very friendly....prices I think are reasonably priced for this area...personally if you complain about prices it's cheaper to cook at home
My pancakes were raw and my bacon was microwaved and cold. Also my friends potato’s were raw.

We enjoyed sitting outside on a Saturday morning to eat delicious breakfast and lunch options. Great smiling service, brought us waters, coffees, add-ons, even water dishes for our dogs nearby. They were kind enough to allow us to tie up our dogs near the outdoor sitting area.
Great eggs, hashbrowns, bacon, coffee, who wouldn't enjoy a classic diner experience in the heart of the northwoods.
