Besse's On Clear Lake

We had dinner this past Saturday, three of us, and it was amazing!! None of us were disappointed. We all had the prime rib and it was perfect! Staff is friendly & very professional.

Ate there last nite. We had a party of 6 and we were pleased with the service. Very friendly waitress and staff was attentive to clearing away dirty dishes. Good wine and drinks. We were all happy with our food. We ordered Cod, rack of ribs, mini tacos, poormans lobster. All of it was delicious!

Showed up a half hour after listed opening time to find the entire property empty and frankly very unnervingly quiet. Tried calling but got a busy signal after getting through to a voice mail system earlier (to be fair I didn't leave a message when the automated instructions started playing) so we went up to knock on the door only to find everything lights off and empty through the window. It wasn't until driving out that we noticed a for sale sign under the restaurant sign so please be aware.

Very tasty food and drinks at reasonable prices. Service was great, with a very attentive wait staff. Would highly recommend if you’re looking for a nice, more low key supper club atmosphere in the Tomahawk area.

We’ve been in a few times and never a bad experience. I was welcoming and consistent good food. We recently Stopped in on a quiet night for a few drinks and had a lovely time. Delicious drinks and conversation with the staff. Thank you!

Ran out of all fish on a Friday ? They had Soup and Shrimp left

A hidden gem in Tomahawk, WI. We went to Bessie’s for my Birthday dinner, and it was an excellent meal. In spite of a sign “Please be Patient, we are Understaffed” our service was attentive, prompt and excellent. The food was excellent: I had the pork chop, which was moist and flavorful with wild rice. The half-rack of ribs was abundant, the Salmon delicious, and the chicken cordon bleu with twice-baked potato was outstanding! We highly recommend Bessie’s on Clear Lake. It may be worth calling ahead to find out availability and how busy they are to minimize a wait. If you do have to wait, the traditional Brandy Old Fashioned s were excellent!

5/5 Besse's On Clear Lake is a go-to for us when we are up north. Laid back supper club atmosphere with a beautiful view of the lake from the bar or deck. Our group had steaks, pork chops, salmon and all were perfectly prepared.

3 Of Us had prime rib. It was so salty. We barely could eat it, but we were hungry. We told the waiter and waiter told the cook and came back to us. And said it was the last of the cut, basically telling us tough luck. They should at least have given us a huge discount. And we wouldn't have minded it, but by ignoring it. We will never come back again.

Went the for the first time with my family for dinner, had a great experience. Food and service was excellent (especially the halibut). Right on clear lake with a beautiful view.
