Service was slow. My table all got prime rib and all the steaks were very cold upon getting served. Waitress only could offer 1 free dessert in return. Very expensive for this type of service. Got two more prime ribs to go and they forgot the side potato that is served with the steak. Disappointing and won’t return.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Bootleggers Lodge in Tomahawk is one of those rare places that immediately feels intentional, elevated, and genuinely welcoming. From the moment you arrive, it’s clear that nothing has been overlooked. The lodge is furnished impeccably—beautiful, warm, and thoughtfully designed without ever feeling overdone. The individually named rooms are exceptional. Nothing is skimped on, and everything feels considered. The technology choices are especially well done: AirPlay-enabled Samsung Art flat screen TV with seamless connectivity.
The staff truly set this place apart. Everyone goes above and beyond in a way that feels authentic, not forced. Whether helping you get exactly what you need or offering personalized recommendations for food and drinks, the level of care is outstanding. You can genuinely tell that people enjoy working here and are proud to be part of the experience.
Bootleggers Lodge has a rare balance of luxury and comfort, with an inviting atmosphere that makes you feel at ease immediately. It’s a special place, and I can’t wait to return.

Bootleggers Lodge in Tomahawk, Wisconsin is an absolute gem. It delivers a truly high-end, boutique feel from the moment you arrive—set in a beautiful Northwoods location that feels both luxurious and cozy. The food is outstanding, the cocktails are crafted to perfection, and every bite and sip feels intentional. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, striking that perfect balance between polished and warm. The custom, high-end rooms easily compete with 5-star hotels—stylish, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed. Even my spouse, a certified hotel snob and proudly bougie, loved it and felt completely at home. A fun, elevated escape that somehow manages to feel relaxed and indulgent all at once.

We came in with 16 people and 7 if them were kids and we had a blast! Jacob our server and Alex our Bartender gave us exceptional service! With our big crazy family and all the special requests, they made the whole experience feel stress free. The steak, French onion soup and bruchetta were crowd favorites but honestly everything we ate was delicious! Then we got smores kits for the dessert which was so cute and a big hit with the kids! And they even let us do it by the fire! The atmosphere, even in the bar area, where we sat was gorgeous and would be a beautiful place for a date night or just a fun nice night out! On behalf of our entire family thank you so much for an amazing evening!

I would just like to provide some feedback regarding my family's experience from Sunday. First, I would like to compliment your restaurant, the atmosphere is nice. When my family arrived, the hostess noted that you were running behind on reservations which wasn't a big deal to us! We had a 1:00pm reservation and were seated around 1:30pm. When we were seated our waitress stated that we were able to go to the buffet to get our brunch. However, when we got to the brunch, there was minimal food, and all of the food was cold. There wasn't anything to drink, we had to wait for plates, I asked the waitress if the staff were going to restock the buffet with hot food and she stated they were, however we waited and waited and still no food, same cold food. With a hefty bill over $100, it was incredibly disappointing. My husband and I are both locals and enjoy dining out, however we feel discouraged on approaching Bootleggers again. Hopefully you're able to take this feedback and do better in the future. If you're going to host a brunch until 2:00pm, please ensure the folks eating at 10am have the same experience at 1pm.
We drove 4 hours to experience Bootleggers for the first time after following their social media for a couple of years. We were not disappointed! Everything was fantastic, from the incredible food and our server Mari, to the overall ambiance. We even came back the next morning for a mimosa and to see the reindeer! We can't wait to come back for another experience!
First time hereand went for partners birthday as well as trying their special holiday menu. We were seated early for our 5pm reservation and the place was fairly quiet/slow. Our waitress was kind. Ordered the bulgogi skewers for the appetizer. They came out and the meat was cold. We weren't sure if this was how they were supposed to be served or not so we didn't say anything. I only mention it now because I looked it up and it was supposed to be warm-hot. They tasted good but they would've been phenomenal if the correct temp. The rolls for the table were hard. Very hard. And they also weren't warm. I found that odd considering the small amount of diners at the time. Our second course came out. I ordered the elk tourteir and my partner ordered the prime rib medium well and a side of crab Mac and cheese. We both enjoyed the Mac and cheese. I enjoyed my dish. But the steak came out as medium rare. We were going to send it back but our waitress ended up not coming back for quite some time. This is where evening diners started coming in so Im going to assume she was busy with them. My partner decided to go ahead and eat the steak instead of letting it get cold as he's fine with medium rare but prefers medium well. When my partner left for the bathroom our waitress returned and gave us boxes. She later returned with cake/sparkler for my partner. Nice surprise. We both ate about a quarter of the cake. It was fine but I'm happy it was free because i don't think it'd be worth the menu price. It then took another long while for our waitress to return with the check. Ultimately, will not be returning. For the price of the place I just expected more. Food to be at the correct temps, food to be cooked correctly, and a waitress that was just more available.
Although we were just here for the Mixology class, we really enjoyed our food, drinks, and personalities we got to meet with "Team Jacob" and "Team Mac" Looking forward to going here for an entire dinner service in the not too distant future!

Spent the weekend in the Lodge and it was an amazing time. The food was delicious and staff were extremely accommodating. The Beef & Blue to start and the Tomahawk steak are a must. Location is beautiful and live music to top it off.

The food was tasty (best wedge salad ever), and ambience was nice, but we did not receive efficient service and server did not have a good customer service attitude. Having food come out hot rather than barely warm is just a basic expectation. But the waitress kept speaking defensively about the fact that I had asked for it to be heated back up again, like made several snide comments which were annoying and unnecessary. just not a good way to be treated as a customer, especially at a restaurant where your tab for 2 people is $175

Go early to enjoy a cocktail before dinner. Barseating feels like dining room seating and gives views of the lake. Standard seating is a separate dining room.
Great food and service. The atmosphere is amazing. Since we were here last the prices have risen considerably. Be prepared
