Wow! What a wonderful establishment. The pizza is off the charts, served with a pepper olive oil drizzle instead of pepper flakes (if you choose, a traditional herb olive oil is also available). Plus, Mama D and staff were the friendliest people you could meet, no joke... Just awesome!!!!
This was our first trip to Mama D’s. I loved the atmosphere and the waitress and owner were so friendly! I The food tasted wonderful! It was great not having TVs in the bar. Very good flavors in both our meals. My only complaint was that i ordered a caprice pizza and they forgot to put one of the ingredients on the pizza-(the prosciutto was missing) so i was disappointed that one ingredient was not on it because I was looking forward to the complete flavor and the fact it was 19.50 for a 12” pizza. I don't mind paying for freshly made good pizza but i didn't get what i paid for. However I didn't say anything because it was busy and we had already waited 40 minutes to get our food. Like i said both dishes were very good so if i would have got what i ordered i would have given them a 5 out of 5 stars.

Authentic Italian food in a quant waterside setting. Prices are reasonable, food was fabulous and portions were generous, dipping oil was optional and a nice touch. Old fashioneds were muddled, We'll definitely be back.

What an absolute gem of a place to enjoy a meal. 100% home-made and better than anyone's mom used to make. No exaggeration. Just go there and enjoy a relaxing meal unlike anything else in the northwoods. SO glad we finally found this place.

We had lunch at Mama D’s today and the pizza was wonderful. Mama D and her husband are so friendly. We enjoyed sitting at a picnic table and looking at the water. We will definitely be there again.
