Absolutely terrible experience! My family reserved a campsite for Labor Day weekend, but we had to cancel and contacted the campground at the beginning of July—well over a month in advance. We completely understand the no-refund policy if the site were to remain vacant, but that is not what happened. They re-rented our site to another family and still refused to refund us a single penny.

In other words, they collected over $300 from us AND another $300 from the next family for the exact same site and dates. This is nothing short of dishonest and greedy.

I could have accepted losing my money if the spot went unused, but profiting twice off the same campsite is unethical and unfair. I will NEVER visit this campground again and will warn everyone I know to avoid it.

A very nice, woodsy campground with a bar and grill. Our site was very spacious, tree covered, and surprisingly quiet on a busy holiday weekend. Very near to several lakes where we were able to kayak.

Nice campground, can't say enough about the owners and the other campers. We came on a Sunday afternoon on probably the hottest day of the year. There was a problem with our original site. We were going to make due, but our neighbors called the owners, and they came and offered us another site that fit our needs. Super nice people, working really hard to make this campground better. We will stay here again.

Food at the bar was good. The pool was pretty amazing too. The camp site we got was pretty terrible. A porta potty was placed right on the edge of our site. So other campers in and out all weekend. And the smell... Not great either. Next time we'll request a different site. Just sucks you have to pay a extra 25$ to make sure you don't get the shitty site. Otherwise super nice place. Make sure to ask for any other site than 29!

Cozy place. You get your menu from, and order at the bar. Staff is friendly and they did bring our drinks and food to the table. We had fish fry and steak sandwiches, the fish was similar to frozen fish sticks and ok, I wasn't fond of the coleslaw, The fried green beans were good.

Nice campground with helpful staff. Stayed here a couple times and never been disappointed with any of the sites and the bar is fun.
Easy booking, check in, and they are responsive to emails regarding your stay. Will definitely be back in the future! Thanks for the wonderful hospitality

First time camper and first time RV owner and doing it all solo. I didn't grow up camping but purchased a RV this year with no knowledge. I watched YouTube to understand how to work my RV, how to tow, and how to navigate a campground. I came to Maple Bear in the middle of the week after Labor Day to try out my new skills and hope not to hit any trees or have my RV roll down the hill into the pond. I pulled in successfully and started setting up when Tim zipped up in his UTV with the firewood I had ordered. He was kind and so nice when I told him this was my first ever outing! He helped me navigate set up, water hook up, and even fixed my water hookup on my RV when it was leaking with a new piece he had in his shop. He didn't make me feel like an idiot being a first timer. He did not have to offer any of that but he went above and beyond. I left there with solid confidence and understanding about my RV. It really meant alot to be offered help when everything was new to me. Thanks Tim!

Clean, quiet, friendly, and beautiful. My dog and I went to Otter Lake one day and walked the trial around the lake. Really fantastic stay.
