Loved the aviation theme and the decor. Friendly staff and patrons. The bratwurst pizza was ok. The veggie sandwich was good. Strawberry Seltzer was good. Amber beer didn't taste like a good bodied Amber. The Dunkel and the Hefenweiss were ok. The Beligan Scottish ale was good. Overall the beer was just ok.

Tailwinds is a wonderful establishment and an asset to Union Grove. The atmosphere is great. The Flight Crew are amazing and enjoy what they do. I have tried all the in-house craft beers during the few times I have stopped on in. The menu is small but Rick and Carolyn focus on providing quality food options to compliment their drinks at Tailwinds. I would recommend the Reuben Dip or Pulled Pork Pizza to go with any of the tasty beer on tap.

The brews are super high quality. I especially loved the Hefeweissen (Freising) and the Pale Lager (Taillight).

Great beer! My favorite is the “Little Ricky Porter”… Great food! They smoke their meats in-house! Great atmosphere! Aviation themed bar/restaurant. It’s a museum of airline paraphernalia. So cool! Highly recommend!

I had the pleasure of taking a tour of the brewery, and it’s incredible how they maintain traditional methods for brewing each type of beer. From distilling pure water to meticulously re-adding minerals based on the region for each beer, they ensure the exact pH and mineral balance, as if they sourced the water from Belgium or Scotland.
The food was equally delicious. I highly recommend the in-house smoked pulled pork and Ruben dip. This place is definitely worth the detour if you’re not local like me. The staff and owners are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, and their passion for their craft is evident in everything they do. I’ll definitely be back in the future!
