The food is consistently good and the place feels like nothing else nearby. No complaints from any of the times we visited. We'll be back for bingo and trivia night.

We've been coming here fairly often and generally like the place, but several things continue to dampen our experiences. We like the fish tank and that we can get cheap gift cards at Costco for the place, but the food is never prepared to order for us. If you order something it will come how the menu says, even if you ask for it different :/ The staff are pretty friendly but we've also consistantly had slow service. One last gripe would be that refils are not free, which is sort of a thing of the past everywhere else. We'll for sure use up our gift cards and keep it in mind for trivia nights but wont bring friends/family along unless our next couple times are better :)

Food and drinks at Boulder are great and the reason we've come many times. However we've had a few nights where we felt neglected by waitstaff. In some cases it's taken more than 20 minutes from being seated to having our order taken. We've had to go up to the hostess stand to pay because we weren't given a bill half an hour after finishing our food. Waitstaff are kind and helpful when they do stop by, but the hostess and other staff who aren't getting tips are much less friendly.

Our family has been a regular of boulder brew pub since the pandemic cooled off and restrictions eased. The food is good and the wait staff had always been pleasant. We tried to order by phone the week of thanksgiving since there were no restrictions on the website or the Facebook page and we wanted to show my mother how great the restaurant was. All we got was ringing lines and no service. All that aside, we tried to use eat street to place a carry out order when my mother in law visited. The order said 6:10 for food to be available. My daughter and I arrived just prior to 6:10 to pick up food. There was no receipt ready and I asked what the status of the order was. The staff said they would go back and check. After coming from out back they did not update me and left me sitting. After 10 more minutes I checked with the host again and he assured me they would be bringing it out shortly. ANOTHER 20 minutes and I went back to check on the status, explaining explicitly that if it was not ready to cancel the order. They went back to check again and this time came out and told me that it would be “a minute because the order didn’t come through”, however I never once told them what I ordered, so how did it not come through yet you know what to make us? With my 3 year old running out of patience and no food even started I asked them to cancel the order and they essentially blamed eat street and let me know there is nothing they could do about a $100 order. We can all say this is eat streets fault, however we use the service for several restaurants around Madison and have never had issues. Seems like there is a bad trend in the management of this restaurant. I’d avoid this headache if I were you!UPDATE: The restaurant blocked me on Facebook apparently for posting this same review, I can only imagine. Also take a look at the reply for everything you need to know about the management. The focus of the reply is not on the poor service, but the refund. No apologies for the delays and not communicating effectively the problem or coming up with solutions on what they could do different. Yikes.

Terrible experience here. Highly disappointed. We are from out of town, decided to stop and try this place out. We ordered appetizer and food. Everyone's food arrived but 2 meals. The last two meals did not arrive until after everyone else had finished. Our appetizer we ordered did not come until after the last 2 meals were delivered. No one offered an apology. In fact out waitress came after everyone else was eating except the 2 people missing their meals and said oh they are still cooking appetizer. No mention of the missing meals, no apology. My son and I were the ones missing our food. We had to take it to go when it finally arrived because everyone else was done eating and had been for quite some time. Do not recommend this place at all!

Tried a burger and onion rings this time. Really tasty. The fish fry was satisfying too. Really good fries. Kids enjoyed their meals too. I will be back for another burger.

The food was good, the service was very attentive at first, then they got pretty busy. They have a decent beer selection. I would prefer a few more stouts or porters. A barrel aged beer in a snifter would be nice for after dinner as well. Nice atmosphere.

We have been going to Boulder for many years. I'm glad it has survived the pandemic. The food is great, especially the curds, and the wait staff are excellent as well. We love the outdoor too, especially when the weather is nice. Hopefully they bring back the Sweet Chili sauce though.

The cheese curds are delicious, and the fish fry and fries were right up their with the best of Madison.Their cocktails need a little work, but definitely not the worst I've ever had. Will definitely go back!

Nice outdoor patio with fast, attentive service. I loved the Chicken Artichoke Pizza (delicious!), my husband enjoyed the Boulder Burger, and we shared the Bavarian Pretzel. The beer selection was also great.

Good beer and friendly staff. There is no food. The live music is good.

Boulder brewpub has promise, but the ambiance was really lacking when we visited for the first time. Generic framed black and white pics on walls, with the exception of the big beautiful windows on it, it didn't really feel like it had a reason to call itself "Boulder" at this point. It had the interior personality of a Dennys. But the food was surprisingly good. We were there for Madtown burger week 2022, I appreciated that BB had designed a custom burger for the event. And what a decadent burg; havarti cheese, pulled pork on the beef patty, and chimichurri sauce? It had a great balanced flavor and was very filling. Would definitely eat that again.Good beer tap selection. A bit surprised a place calling itself a "brewpub" doesn't make and sell any of their own beer but that could be due to lack of staff. My friends reported that the craft cocktails were a bit too much on the sweet side. Looking at the cocktail menu it did seem like they were advertising mostly Mules and other gin/vodka drinks. I'd have liked to see more variance in the menu with cocktails featuring bourbon and rye, as well.
