The Verona Woods

Have been going to Verona woods since this summer on Friday nights. Food and atmosphere have been very good. Went tonight(Saturday) for dinner and most of the food was good as always. The one disappointing menu item was the crab cakes. Should have been titled celery cakes. The shrimp which came with the meal tasted like plastic. We will be back, but most likely on Friday and avoiding crab cakes.

Came in with my husband after getting into town. We just were a beer and a bite and got exactly what we were looking for. He got the wings, I got some nachos. I'm really glad I got the half order as it was very generous. I even double checked with the bartender that he hadn't accidentally put in the full 😂! Great value there. Pretty typical bar fare with sandwiches, burgers, and appetizers. Wait staff has been pretty slow the three times we've been here - especially for the first touch base. Given the lack of competition in the area it is a good choice if you need a bite to eat before heading to WI Brewing Company.
