It was cocktail time in Viroqua and we were so glad to have stumbled upon Tangled Hickory! While they have big screen TVs throughout the bar (not a fan), the ambience was cute. Good lighting and a beautiful dark wood bar with comfy leather bar stools. Our bartender was an absolute sweetie! She offered free samples of beer to my husband before he ordered a Spotted Cow (a Wisconsin classic). She also made really delicious cocktails (old fashioned, Moscow mule and a whiskey martini) for me and our friends. We couldn't believe how affordable the drinks were! But then again, thats Wisconsin for you .

On Friday night we stopped in for a night cap after seeing a play in La crosse. The bartender was sweet, friendly, & skilled! We so appreciated her & her smile!

I drove 2 hours to come to this establishment and waited for 20 minutes to even get acknowledged. I couldn’t even get a drink so left. Sadly disappointed. Heard great reviews on their margaritas and wanted one for Cinco de Mayo but no go!

I give no stars, i only put one because i had too. A young girl was running the bar by herself on a saturday. Service was very slow and the food was terrible! We tried something new and we will not be back!

You MUST try the specialty martinis. My favorite is the raspberry with puree. Blissful! Entrees and pizza are always a good choice.

You know, it was one of a few places open in town when we visited, so we were glad to be there and able to get some food. Was the food great? Not especially- but it wasn't terrible either. Their cheese board needed a little Love- we ARE in Wisconsin. Service was semi fast.
