I wish I could give this zero stars. We stayed at Three Bears this weekend. We were given a list from the front desk about what time everything closes. This place said 2 am. We walked in with two adults and two kids at 845 on a Saturday night. The waitress on staff walked past and said hi. When she came back she asked if we were trying to eat, we said yes and she said the restaurant was just closing. Okay no biggie. Sunday afternoon on our way to the water park we stopped by to ask what time they stop serving food. Once again she said 8:45. We went in at 6:15 for this same waitress to ask “what are you guys trying to do?” We said eat, she goes okay but we are only serving appetizers, kind of snappy. Why not say that when we were here two hours earlier asking about food? I get that they might be working understaffed, but taking two seconds to explain that goes so far. Classic case of it’s not what you say but how you say it.

Walked in on Sunday at 7:30. Was told immediately it would be 30 minutes before they can take our order. Food arrived after 90 minutes. Amanda was beyond rude. I would never come here again.

Life guards are either sleeping or in their phones!!! Why do they have phones??! Floors in water park are filthy. Gum, clumps of hair, food, garbage and band-aids everywhere. Bet the floors have not had a cleaning in years.

I like that this place cater to family water park. The main attraction is the ATV, which was cancelled due to heavy rain. Fortunately, the tree bears provide enough entertainment for my two boys. The place is clean, resort service was good. I think the water slide, hot tub, waves pool is decent and as it’s within the hotel compound, very easy to access. The area isn’t too big and most places are shallow so it suitable for younger children to enjoy. There’s arcades on 2nd floor but it’s a little spendy. My boys enjoy them nonetheless.

We have wings, BLT, hamburger. Foods overall were good (not outstanding). There’s quite a few not available in the menu (no cheese curds). Service was extremely slow, despite only handful of tables to serve. I like that the place is convenient, we don’t have to worry about going out and drive around town to get a meal. We stayed at 3 bears so we past the restaurant and looked in and found our tables still not cleared after 30minutes. I wanted to say servers training definitely needed. Perhaps like every where else, staffing still a major issue here.

Great for small kids as it was NOT busy. There were no lines or need to get a cabana/locker for your items. Most, if not all guests we saw, had small children. The waterpark is much smaller than it appears on the website. The outdoor waterpark also is not open all the time. It was not open the first night we got there and then did not open the next day until noon. They said “it was not warm enough yet”. Mini golf was fun for the kids. It was typically deserted. There were no staff overseeing the area. It appeared to not have been taken care of in some time. The ponds were full of scum, the rock beds were weed covered, and the ball “safe” on hole 18, was covered by a dilapidated piece of wood and a safety cone. The front desk staff was nice and helpful but not professionalism I would expect for a place deemed a “resort”. For example, we heard many private conversations between staff in regards to the dysfunction of the resort. At one time, we were waiting to pay for mini golf. One staff member let us know she would be with us in a moment. Then she made a comment to the other staff member about leaving and just walked off with her car keys without helping us. It felt as though the whole resort is run from the front desk. It felt unorganized and dysfunctional. The mini golf materials were located at the front desk (which is fine) but you could clearly see all the materials/items strewn about behind the desk. It was not professionally presented. There are rules posted about the resort, but do not seem to be enforced. We carried drinks on the mini golf course, saw people with coolers in the pool area, and our little ripped off his waterpark bracelet (waterproof paper) and we were told it was fine. The restaurant was not operating as normal. On Friday they had buffet only for “fish fry”. It was terrible. We were asked if we wanted drinks and asked for a menu and were told they did not have one. Cue awkward silence until the server began rattling off available beers. We both chose a beer. It came in a can (fine), but was not offered a glass. They charged $17 per adult, plus $9 per child for the terrible buffet. On Saturday, we would have ate breakfast there but it was not open. We drove to Tomah. We avoided the restaurant for the remainder of our stay. Our room was very clean. We stayed in a room with a separate room, living space, and bunks. It was great for our family. There was a small kitchenette, but it did not have any items such as cups, plates, bowls or silverware. Many other places we have stayed with kitchenettes come with at least the essentials. Overall, for the $$ I was expecting more “resort” quality and professionalism. We will not return which is unfortunate as the waterpark is perfect for littles.

I had a hard time choosing a star for this resort. Super nice looking building and professional looking upon walking inside, staff very friendly. However….upon entering the women’s dressing room it was absolutely embarrassing the lack of basic maintenance. Half the light bulbs were burnt out (and bug filled), huge toilet paper roll set on top of holder, paper towel not in holder, soap in only 1 of 3 dispensers, hand dryers not working, soap dispensers in all showers empty. Very off putting and although we had fun in the waterpark, it made me wonder if they keep up on chemicals for waterpark and I’d be wary of cleanliness in paying for a room. This lack of basic oversight truly makes me hesitate recommending this resort to anyone.

Yikes!I don’t know what was worse the food, service or the drunk lady asking my husband to dance and throwing herself at everyone.

We spent a weekend at three bears and had an excellent time! Every single staff member we encountered was so friendly and willing to answer any questions we had. We spent all day Saturday at the waterpark. It is fun for all ages! On Saturday night, we made a late dinner reservation and ended up being the last table for our waitress, Jessie. She was great! She let us take our time and we didn't feel rushed at all. The employees all seem to take immense pride in their work. We will be back!!

I reserved the Drake Villa 4 months in advance to celebrate 2 birthdays in February and received a call with only 32 hours notice that our reservation was being canceled due to a shipment not arriving. The reservation was for 9 people, 2 of which were required to request off work; this gives absolutely no time to make reservations elsewhere that have room for that many people with such short notice. I called the resort to figure out what else could be done and they told me the villas did not have any furniture in them and the shipment of furniture did not arrive. Wouldn't it make more sense to remove the furniture after a busy weekend when the furniture has already arrived....? They told me they had to cancel 15 villas for that specific weekend and there was nothing they could do about it. They did offer 2 hotel rooms and the waterpark passes for the weekend but, why would I want to downgrade for free? Also, they offered to refund me and then give us a complimentary free nights stay at a later date but I scheduled 4 months in adbmvance specifically on a birthday weekend.....scheduling on a different weekend would make no sense. Thankfully the airbnb website had availability for the exact replica of the villa I reserved through the resort....and it had furniture! The airbnb was clean and within walking distance of the resort. The resort still allowed us the waterpark passes for the weekend and when I requested a cabana to compensate for the extra fees to book through the airbnb they did not have any availability. They said they would reserve us a room on the 4th floor that over looks the waterpark instead. This was terrible, the bathrooms on that floor were out of order due to renovations and the thermostats were taken off the walls so it was freezing (especially when wet from swimming). No one else was on that floor, it was legitimately closed for renovations. We ended up not using that room and just putting all our stuff at a table in the waterpark area. They did say we could get 2 free pizzas and 2 free liter of soda from the pizzeria but it took over an hour to get through the line to even order and then another hour for the pizza to be done. The kids had a wonderful time at the waterpark. The arcade had several games that were out of order though. I would book through airbnb again anytime and pay separate for wristbands to not have to go through this stressful situation again. Only giving 2 stars because the indoor waterpark is perfect for littles but customer service through the resort was dreadful.

This is the 2nd time I've taken my family to this resort and stayed in the Villa's. I got there 1st to open up the 4 that we were renting. Upon entering I was surprised to see dirt on the floors, dust, dirty windows, broken window treatment and lots of sawdust on the deck and the rug inside the door. When I opened the drawers to find some utensils, there was lots of dirt in them. One of them wouldn't go back in. The grandkids walked in socks. NOT a good idea! The floors were filthy! We found a broom that immediately fell apart when we tried to use it . There was a swiffer but no cloth on it. If it would have been just me and my husband I would have asked for a different room. My grandkids didn't notice and didn't care about the dirt, and enjoyed the fact that they could run back and forth from room to room. We had a surprise that got everyone screaming when a bat started flying around above us in the main room with the fireplace. We eventually hit it with a clipboard and got it to the ground where we took care of it from there. It spooked some of the grandchildren and they wouldn't sleep upstairs after that. The towels were few and small. There wasn't enough bedding for the pull out couches. The grandkids pretty much all got a rash after being in the pool. The last time we were there we had the same problem. This time we brought stuff to put on their skin after swimming. The people we dealt with were very nice at the desk, pool area, bar and pizza place. Great place to take the family but the dirtiness is really a turn off and makes me want to take them elsewhere.

We just left from three nights over NYE 2022, having stayed in a villa across the parking lot from the main lodge. There were four adults and four children aged 1-5. Pros: the water park was plenty and fabulous for our young children. Lifeguards were always doing their job, attentive, and reminded people of the rules (which I appreciate). The villa was large enough for our group size and I liked that it was so close to the action. Front desk staff (especially Kathy) were very helpful early this morning when I needed cleaning supplies for my ill family. Cons: amenities in the villa left much to be desired. We had only one spoon, which is difficult when you have small children. Cleanliness (specifically vacuuming and mopping) was lacking (my socks were nasty). When we got there we were told the cable was out but it was a weird situation that we eventually rectified. Suggestions for visitors: bring slippers! Bring ANY special baking or cooking item you need (you won't find it in the kitchen otherwise). Bring all paper and cleaning products, including laundry detergent. We spent $1200 for our three night stay - I would not pay more to stay here. Suggestions for management: updates and restocking of villas is needed! Sound proofing between villa doors would be helpful. Overall we would return, given the ages of our children and it's locale (we travel to meet friends). I cannot comment on the food as we didn't try any - we made all our meals.
