My wife and I like to try small family places and decide to give them a try. It was one of the colder days we have had in a long time and it was cold to the point my wife who was drinking coffee never removed her coat. We had seen they have a Friday fish fry. I ordered the baked cod and was told 11AM is too early, fish starts at noon. Ok I will have a Gyro. Can I sub the fries for a salad? No but I can sell you a salad for $2.95 Fair enough but no thank you. The Gyro came out with no fries. They then had to make them. The Gyro was as the most horrible over cooked I have ever tasted. Four slices of meat on a sandwich, maybe 3 ounces? Ridiculous. Tzatziki sauce was pourable. Not correct. The chef / owner is from Morocco? He should be embarrassed. Don’t go here if you are hungry.
Very busy but food was WELL worth the wait. Corned beef hash was the best I've ever had.

We stopped in after camping. The house-made hot sauce went great in the shakshuka. Good coffee. Would definitely return.

We have been here for over 30 min waiting for food, the restaurant is not that busy there are open tables. We asked and the waitress told us they are playing the food but that was a while ago. We will not be back two eggs takes over 30 min?

I love Cafe 36 for breakfast! The dishes, especially the omelets, have excellent flavor and are never bland like many cafés and diners. The coffee is also incredible! However, I went for dinner once, and it was a horrible experience. I ordered a perch fish fry and can only describe the taste as overwhelmingly rancid. My partner had ordered fried shrimp. They came breaded completely shelled, legs attached and not deveined. Our server never came back after our food was set down, so no issues could be addressed. We left our meals and stood at the front counter for 15 minutes waiting to pay for an inedible meal.

I had the pancakes with bacon and my husband had the French toast, really good food. The waitress was friendly.
The menu is great with traditional meals and authentic Mediterranean meals. Plus the best coffee around.
We patronize this restaurant frequently, even at the previous location. The struggle is with time management. Every time it is extremely slow. We were just there today and it took 1 hour for food , there are only 15 tables and several waitresses. Not sure why it consistently takes so much time to serve customers . Food is good but at some point customers will stop coming because no one should have to wait that long.
