We really enjoyed our evening out! We've been to the other two locations, but it was our first time at the Waunakee location. It did not disappoint. Everything, from the drinks to the food to the service, was very good. We will definitely be back.
A great place, but the asparagus was more like a tree branch and shouldn't have made the menu, the wait staff fell all over themselves to rectify, but the chef should have known better and not put them in that position
Went for an extended family meal. Were seated where we requested. Server did great. Food was excellent. All were happy. Thank you! Well done.
We happened to go on a Friday night at the end of Restaurant Week and it was VERY noisy. Otherwise, the food and service were great, as usual.
We sat outside and it was wonderful. Perfect weather, cute patio, great singer, knowledgeable and helpful waiter, delicious food... need I say more?
Lucas was a great waiter. detailed and kind! Food always got out of the kitchen and delicious!
My husband and I visited Buck & Honey's in Waunakee for the first time last night for the fish fry. We each ordered the fried cod, which was prepared crispy outside, tender inside and not greasy at all (three pieces). It was accompanied by some delicious but unusual cheesy hash browns, with almost a mashed potato consistency, good coleslaw and a fresh baked warm roll. We enjoyed a couple of tappers and didn't have to wait too long for our food, which was served attractively on rectangular white plates with lemon, whipped butter and house made tartar sauce. We had made a reservation for 6 pm. and were seated promptly, always a nice thing--especially on a busy Friday night. Overall, a delightful and tasty experience. We'll be back.
I enjoy eating here with family whenever I am in town. Though the place feels like an upscale sports bar (multiple TVs) the food is a step above “bar food” or “sports bar food.” And the beer selection and craft drinks are really good. Try the bacon wrapped stuffed dates and the firecracker shrimp.
Lukas was an excellent waiter! I have an allergy and both Lukas and the kitchen manager took very good care of me! Great food, absolutely delicious!! My brother said it was the BEST wrap he ever had (and he’s old) :) I had the Caprese Salad and it was tasty and beautiful!
We came across Buck & Honey’s well traveling home from UW Madison Children’s Hospital.
From the minute we walked in, the atmosphere was warm, inviting, and perfect for any occasion. The staff are friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu.
The food was approved by my 8 and 13yr old boys, let me tell you that says a lot! It was fresh, flavorful and definitely filling!
We will be returning for a 3rd time soon!

Such a fun & unique restaurant 😋!
Mera's team that catered my daughter's event was top-notch. Very professional and very organized. Thank you!!
The pan fried walleye was delicious!
I've visited several Buck & Honey's locations, but this one is by far my favorite. The food is consistently delicious every time I come. The Firecracker Shrimp is a personal favorite, but everything I’ve tried on the menu has been excellent. The restaurant is always spotless, and the staff is friendly, attentive, and welcoming.
I really like this place. The food is good and authentic. I tried the fillet which was really good and the other time I tried a ahi tuna salad which was a little too sweet, but still good. Oh, and for the starter the ahi bites were perfect. A friend of mine had the brownie dessert with chocolate and they said it was more like a cake than brownie.
