What can we say?! Alabama boys enjoying the classic Wisconsin supper club. Excellent food, we had the cheese curds and old Fashioneds and they were amazing! Nicely flaked fried cod, delicious salad bar, everyone greeted us. Glad we took a little detour away from Madison to make it to this gem.

"Old time digs" They mean it! Smoke stains on ceiling, way out of date and when we ordered a side of fries, we received a small handful on a tiny plate. Your bartender Greg is rude as heck! I have heard this from others and experienced this myself. Fire him!

Rex's Innkeeper has the old-school Wisconsin supper club vibe with delicious food. They have an extensive salad bar complete with homemade soups and are known for their steak and seafood. The duck special was crispy and served with a tangy sweet orange sauce.

The wait staff was great and very nice. The best part of the meal was the salad bar. The prim rib was mostly fat and had no seasoning. The duck again no flavor. The building is nice looking and very well kept.
Ruthie did an amazing job dealing with our family's 20 top. We are a rowdy bunch, and she wrangled us well during a busy Friday night fish fry service. The food was great. The salad bar is excellent. The decor and facilities could use an update as they are well loved and a little worn out. Rex's is an institution, a nice place to dine at. It could use a bit of an update, but you'll enjoy your dinner.

Since the last time I visited, the Koi have gotten huge, which the kids always enjoy seeing.
