I photographed a wedding at Lone Girl this past weekend and I was BLOWN AWAY. I was so impressed by the space and staff. The patio was perfect for the ceremony and mingling. The dinner space was simply but elegantly decorated and I know the bride and groom really appreciated not having to bring in their own decor.
And I really want to give a huge shout out to the staff. We had a bit of a rain delay but as soon as it cleared up, they got everything dry so quickly. It seems like such a small thing but for a bride and groom to be able to trust that the venue has their back isn’t always a guarantee and this small detail goes a long way.
I would highly recommend Lone Girl as a wedding venue for anyone looking for a unique space to have a smaller wedding ❤️

The Landing is an incredible place to host (and dazzle) your nearest and dearest. We had an unbelievably magical wedding/reception utilizing the intimacy of the fireplace/candles/mantle and the lively/fun rooftop. Alora, the event manager, ROCKED! And is a huge reason why our day was so successful and spectacular - all her time, attention, detail, creativity, care, and more was our vision and then some. The decor, the greenery wall design, the apps, the Rose's gimlets, "the flip" between the ceremony and the reception, ... she made it happen, and we'll be forever grateful.

It was a busy night but the bar tenders were extremely unfriendly. We stood there for 15 minutes while they were making other people's drinks and they didn't even acknowledge us. Wait staff was nice and food was good.

It was a little confusing finding the area open for lunch. We had to go up several flights of outdoor stairs. There was an elevator, but we didn't discover until later. We chose to eat indoors. Seating was at long tables, and we were the only ones there. Extensive beer list. Good food. Lone Girl Salad was good with lots of beets, and the pulled pork sandwich was hearty. It came with pieces of apple and creamy cole slaw. Service was good.

My husband and I were in the Madison area and were looking for a new restaurant to try out. Service was great - friendly and attentive. He gave us a few recommendations… I went with the BBQ Pork Smash. It was delicious. Comfortable atmosphere/nice decor.

One of the worst hostess we have ever experienced this afternoon Sunday June 11. Kindly get her some training.

My husband and I had our wedding at The Landing event space at The Lone Girl in December of 2022 and could not be happier. We combined our love of craft beer with a small and intimate family wedding. Alora was great in planning the event with us including food, decorations, and the bar. The entire staff from planning to the chefs and to the servers and bartenders were fantastic. I would highly recommend them for any event including a wedding. We even got a surprise when we got home: a wedding gift of Lone Girl merchandise. They went above and beyond in every way.

My wife and I attended this brewery and it was OK. The service was great, the atmosphere was nice, but the beers on tap were just OK.

Really nothing special. At the end of the day it's a local watering hole with mediocre food and poor service. The fish fry at place like this are usually done well, not here. Fish is poorly prepared, low quality and about on par with mcdonalds fillet o fish.

My wife and I stopped in here on our way to visit nearby relatives. We each had a drink at the bar while waiting for take-out orders. It's a good looking, cozy place inside. There is a wide assortment of beers available. The bartender took our to-go orders and served us our drinks. He was very friendly and when we asked, told us the story of the "Lone Girl" name... (to summarize, it's because the owners have six kids but only one girl). While waiting we noticed that the place could use more servers. For example, the bartender was tending bar and also serving tables in the bar. It simply made for slow service. The food items we got consisted of a variety of sandwiches and salads for a group of six. Everyone said the food was good. My "Brewben" sandwich was very tasty.

We were there recently to enjoy the fun band and beautiful night. This used to be a fun place to grab a beer and enjoy the rooftop. Currently, patrons are not allowed to sit at ANY of the MANY UNOCCUPIED tables unless you are ordering food. And even if you DO order food, you are forced to get up and vacate your table literally as soon as you are done chewing to allow for another seating. I get that the servers want to make money with another table, but there needs to be an acknowledgement of the money made off bar tabs. Seriously WTF?? We were rudely CHASED AWAY from SEVERAL open tables, and were forced to stand awkwardly in the way of the servers in front of the cleaning bucket area because there was NO WHERE else we were allowed to BE! Even standing “NEAR” an open table was forbidden, as it may deter from the server being sat a new table. They are treating their bar customers as an irritant, instead of the money makers they are. I don’t know if there’s new management? Or new rules? But they seriously need to reconsider. No one wants to be where they are made to feel unwelcome and unwanted. It’s a rooftop BAR for God’s sake. You are chased away from the unoccupied tables to the “Bar area” where seating is very limited, and the bartender is irritated by your very existence and couldn’t be less friendly. Seriously, despite a beautiful night and a fun band, it was a very negative experience, and not one we will repeat any time soon. Customer service at its absolute worst. Very disappointing. I am not one to leave reviews, but really felt compelled to vent. So bad.

We love The Lone Girl; or used to anyway. The service has gone way down this year. At the bar, the bartenders took people who arrived way after us first. They looked my husband in the eye several times then proceeded to ignore him. Our table waitress was so stressed, even though we told her my husband’s appetizer was his meal, it arrived long before my entree. This isn’t the first night of off-service; it’s just the first time I’ve had enough to prompt me to write this review.

Waitres said there was a 30 min wait for a table so we sat at a table in the sun to wait, 30 min later a hostess brought napkins to the table we were sitting at, waited another 25 min for some one to take our order, then finally ordered, after 1 hr food finally came. Was hot on the plates from the heat light and dried out, told manager and he said it wasn't that long, i would not recommend this place!
