Who knew moving to Waunakee, Wisconsin I would find the best vegan pizza I have ever eaten! If you ever visit Madison, Wisconsin or surrounding area I highly recommend! Updated from previous review on 2025-12-13

We live 3min away from zoes, maybe 3.5min if you hit the light by KT. The last 2 orders have taken over 15min for delivery after getting notified. 2 times the pizza is Luke warm for the first piece and almost cold for the second and the cheese is already starting to get hard. I dont complain much. But I delievered pizza for many years in my HS days. We would deliver pizzas from lodi to harmony grove in less then 15min. the price is on the high end for what you get. The green peppers are chopped so small you cant taste or even tell they are on your pizza and we get extra green peppers. They have 3 delivery vehicles sitting out front, I would think they could do better then 15min with 3. This time our box was smashed down into the garlic knots which smashed into our pizza.

I just moved to the area a couple months ago and of course not having anything unpacked and no grocery shopping done, I resorted to pizza delivery. I figured I'd try this place since they were local and I believe family owned, and it was a pleasant surprise. The pizza was very hot when it arrived and overall just very good. I love the sauce and the the delivery was very fast. They are a little bit pricier than your chains but worth it! I wish they would add fries to the menu and I wish they would have promo codes to use or coupons or something especially if I want to order more often, that would give me more incentiv because of the cost. When you have a delivery fee on and then the tip on top of it it does add up.

Ordered the plant based BBQ pizza and it was delicious! They really put care into their vegan offerings. Hand tossed crust is good and bubbly. Surprisingly quick on a Friday night. Nice area to dine in if you please, and they have a parking lot too.

Zoe’s is one of those great places that has a plant based menu, and everything is also labeled if it is GF or not. I wish other restaurants would get on board with that. Excellent GF crust and great pizza - they use Good Earth vegan cheese.

Zoe’s is the absolute best pizza. They use high quality ingredients that taste delicious. Their lunch specials are my favorite because I can try a slice from all of their fun creations. I have yet to try a creation I didn’t like. I love the creative mix of flavors in their monthly specials. The staff at Zoe’s is friendly, polite, and works so hard! They always have a smile on their face and are quick to take your order and bring your food to your table. I’ve also ordered take out and delivery and have come to find the same incredible service. Zoe’s is close to my work, I just wish there was one that was close to my home! Truly the best pizza!

Amazing Detroit-style pizza completely vegan!

Sharp On Sight

I’ve had a lot of pizza around Dane County, but Zoe’s in Waunakee has the best cracker-thin crust I’ve come across so far. Super crispy, perfectly baked, and not overloaded with cheese or grease like some places. Just a really well-balanced, flavorful pizza that lets the crust shine without being bland.

If you’re into true thin crust—the kind that actually crunches when you bite it—this is the spot. Toppings were fresh, staff was friendly, and it’s clear they take pride in what they serve.

If you’re anywhere near Waunakee or the north side of Madison, it’s worth the short drive. Definitely going back.

The pizza here is by far my favorite in the Madison area!! They have an entire vegan menu, full of so many mouth watering options (I can never find vegan cheese that melts as well as how they make it!) Also the cinnamon knots are to die for. The interior is nothing special but in a nostalgic kind of way - though we usually order take out anyway. My sole gripe is the price. However, finding vegan options in rural Wisconsin towns is near impossible, so I understand why it is expensive. I would eat here every week if I could afford to!

I’m so thankful I discovered Zoe’s! It’s like having Ian’s pizza but with way better crust. 🤣❤️ I get my nails done in Waunakee and my nail girl told me about this place. Bet I come here every time I get my nails done! Today I had their special - chorizo - and when I say it was BOMB I mean it!!! This pizza is so dang good, and every flavor I try has been consistently delicious. 🍕 😍 lunch prices are amazing too! I highly recommend giving this place a try even just for a slice.

Great place for a classic pizza!

This place is too expensive for the consistent poor quality. I'm not sure why I keep giving them chances. I've had burnt pizzas from them and overlooked it because it happens, but plastic cooked into the pizza is beyond ridiculous. Is there no quality control? Do they just not care what they serve their customers?
