This place used to be excellent with great service and food. Today was nothing even close waited for ever to get our drinks then waited again to place our order when food arrived we didn't receive it all then we had to chase someone down for silverware not once did anyone check on us then to top it all off we have to find someone to get to go boxes and our check UNBELIEVABLE what's sad is this used to be my favorite place to go

This was the BEST breakfast I have had in a long time (bacon avacado omlette) w/ pancakes!!! The waitstaff & service was awesome! The restaurant is clean and has great decor & and a warm atmosphere. We are not from Waupun and will definitely make plans to return the next time we are in town! Thank You!!!

I'm not sure where all the five-star reviews come from, but I was not very impressed by anything at this restaurant at all. We were never followed up on after giving our food, our omelets were overcooked, hash browns were dry and tasted oily. No one even came back later to give us our check. However, on the two occasions that we spoke to someone they were friendly. Probably won't come back.

We were looking for an all day breakfast spot and are so glad we found this place! The food was really good, but the service we received from Uriel really made our experience memorable. I would highly recommend Mateo’s Café and will definitely be back! We really enjoyed the breakfast food but want to try other items on their menu in the future as well!
