We've only recently discovered the Brittain House and have been pleasantly surprised and enjoyed most everything. When dining, service has been good and the food quality has also been very good. Prices, compared to the region, are very reasonable. A recent experience requires a bit of "hope" for improvement, however. With a very lightly busy bar (5:30 - 6:00 pm on a Wednesday) and dining room, the bartender could not keep up at all. We waited 15 minutes before being acknowledged and two ladies just after us probably waited 20 minutes. Having MANY years in the service industry, I would certainly not criticize if staff were doing the best job possible. However, the inefficiency was glaring. For instance. . .both people who worked, at some point, behind the bar followed the saw inefficient pattern.1. Go to a customer and take a drink order.2. Walk all the way to the other end to make the drinks.3. Deliver the drinks.4. Take the money.5. Walk all the way to the other end to the register.6. Bring the change.7. Go to another customer. There is zero multi-tasking or efficiency. Just like wait staff are taught to never come back to the kitchen empty handed (grab empty plates from any table, etc), the bar staff really needs to improve in this area. Multi-tasking behind the bar is a must. It is very possible to take more than one drink order at a time. It is easy to take a patron's payment AND take another drink order before heading back to the other end. Then, it's just as easy to bring the change to customer #1, and the drinks to customer #2 at the same time. And so on.And the soda was completely flat too (no carbonation). Experienced bar and wait staff should be able to recognize flat soda just by seeing it in the glass. We will be back; and, as I said, we have had pleasant experiences. This one was sub-par and we hope that the above is considered to be constructive and intended to be helpful criticism. Thanks!

Great food, staff and atmosphere. Scott's a great guy, wait staff is friendly and efficient.
Not a place we visit often. Maybe, 1x every 6 months. It's difficult to get a table. The prices are ok, food is alright, service is slow. Overall, ok if you can get a table. We went on a Friday at 4:15 thinking early dinner. Hostess told us would not get a table until 6. There were a lot of tables open. It is best to make a reservation early, the day before.Parking: Limited spot gravel parking lot.

At the top of our list of favorites! Great fish fry and my all time favorite place to go for prime rib. Staff is always friendly and the service is always right on par, even though they are generally quite busy. Also, the naked cheese curds are an absolute must for an appetizer!
