Cakes by Candy is the only bakery from which I've purchased a cake that people talk about for years after tasting it…yes, it's that good. When asked, Candy will claim she uses a lot of the tricks we've all heard before, but she must be hiding something. No other cake compares. Not only is it moist, but it has a flakiness and almost a crispiness to it at the same time. I don't have the words to adequately describe the amazing texture, moistness and flavor (not to mention the beauty) of Cakes by Candy. *Her prices are very reasonable; cash or check only. *Candy is also a lovely person so reserve a few min to chat before you leave!
