Good coffee, day old baked good on sale and fresh ones too
First time at Anadyne. This is what a expect from a good coffee shop. Personal and friendly baristas, a good selection of coffees, lattes and teas, a reasonable offering of various fresh baked items and pastries, and a subdued atmosphere where you can have a quiet conversation.
This location is medium size shop, with a long bar like counter for ordering. It has some natural light from large windows in the front, and some more windows in the rear. You can find seating both inside at small tables, or outside on cafe size tables. (the back is secluded which would be nice on a warmer day).
On this visit, I ordered a London Fog Latte, and tried one of their fresh Cinnamon Knots with Icing. They did a great job with the London Fog (little vanilla, little lavender, extra foam). First time trying the Cinnamon Knot, which they warmed up. I really enjoyed all of the dough layers, with generous amounts of cinnamon. (The icing itself was more of a distraction, it was hard and simply flaked off).
From the looks/sounds of things, there are many regulars that stop in for quick up or mug refill. Lots of friendly chatter happening throughout. It appears to be a local favorite.
Would definitely come back.
I love me some Anodyne coffee, especially right from the source. This was my first experience at the Wauwatosa location and unfortunately, I'm hard pressed to return. Love the coffee, love the outdoor seating, and it wasn't very busy for a Saturday which was kind of nice and helped to enjoy the outside atmosphere.
I don't want to call out the employee, but just before taking our order, one of the employees was rubbing their nose and mouth with their hands prior to getting coffee for another customer and never washed their hands after. I opted not to leave and still ordered since it was a lengthy drive, but please reiterate about cleanliness for the sake of the customers.
The expresso almond milk latte is the best!
Solid cold brew. Nice window spots and patio.
Outrageously expensive coffee. Have to pay extra for any substitute and it adds up.
The honeybee latte is to die for! Also love the bagged espresso for making drinks at home!
Probably the best in the area with regards to coffee quality IMO. Great service! Seating in the back.

Some nice baristas, but the coffee is atrocious. For anyone who appreciates single origin black coffee, try Stone Creek, Canary, Discourse, or Interval. I've drank coffee at Anodyne for over 10 years, and they used to get some decent beans. But they gave up years ago. Now they emphasize lattes and sugary drinks, and their black coffee almost always has the most digusting, dirty finish. I can't even believe anyone would disrespect coffee drinkers so much as to sell this sludge. I have a strong opinion because Anodyne used to be decent, and I know they can do better. Anyone rating it highly either is drinking latte or does not know coffee at all.

Small coffee shop with decent tea selection and friendly staff. The back garden has some shade and sun. The inside is small and cozy.
