I’ve noticed a lot of negative reviews here—some fair, but many come off a bit entitled. I’ll speak from my own experience: I’ve been coming to Breadsmith since I was 6 or 7, and I’m 24 now. In all that time, they’ve remained one of the most consistently high-quality bakeries I’ve known. Their breads and treats are always fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully made.
What really stands out is how little their prices have changed over the years. That kind of stability, especially in today’s economy, speaks volumes about their commitment to the community and keeping things accessible. I love you BreadSmith.
Bread was really mediocre, dry and tasteless. I was bummed because we paid 7$ for a whole loaf 🍞. Normally bread doesn’t stand a chance at home this one went stale as no one wanted it.
The counter girl was annoyed at my presence. Told a local friend about the experience and she wishes I would’ve asked her about the place first, she would’ve told me not to go. Welp 😅
Great bread. Really fresh.
I’d recommend avoiding this hostile environment entirely unless you come prepared with a detailed itinerary to share with the parking lot enforcer they hired. He’ll chase you down as soon as you leave your vehicle to make sure you’re planning to buy something from one of their businesses within one hour. If not, he’ll tell you to move your car immediately and threaten to have it towed.
So here’s my advice: if you’re planning to visit a business within walking distance and grab some Qdoba for home, you’d better pick up the Qdoba first and then head to your second destination while your food sits in the car getting cold. Otherwise, you’ll be accused of trespassing and blamed for costing the plaza hundreds of dollars in imaginary lost revenue, even if you’re a paying customer.
This area actively discourages people from patronizing the businesses it’s supposedly protecting. Spend your money somewhere that doesn’t treat its customers like criminals.
EDIT: I'm not going to remove this review because guests have a right to know that an unidentified man is hovering around their cars and recording their license plate numbers in your parking lot. This raises serious questions about safety, privacy, and the overall comfort of visiting your business.

Placed an expensive order, and when I arrived, the young woman at the counter looked somewhat bored. Actually, she looked peeved that someone would interrupt her boredom. I gave her my name, then she handed me the order.
No words were spoken! I never heard a hello, happy holidays, f-you, thank you or good bye.
I think I'll wait to purchase fresh Breadsmith bread and rolls from the young man at my farmers' market next summer.
I wish he'd been in the store because of his friendly, welcoming attitude, and the bread is super fresh.
No more brick and mortar orders or visits. Breadsmith products will be a summer treat instead.

When we went, Monday, there was very little inventory. It was a bit disappointing, but to be fair it is your classic breadsmith, so you will get your standards there. They are good products
Vegetarian options: It is bread...you know what is veg or not, and they are typically labeled or staff can tell you
Dietary restrictions: Ingredients labeled
Parking: Small parking area shared with other shops. Downtown 'Tosa can get a bit busy
Kid-friendliness: Kids can accompany without issue
Wheelchair accessibility: No auto door, but with help you can get a chair in and navigate okay

Good products but they have space for improvement especially given the price
Fresh bakery goods for you and your families, only other bakery that I know that pumps out amazing goods for the whole family to enjoy.
Well, it's a great place to get daily freshly made bread items. And u get to points for shopping with them. Though I have been shopping here on and off and now more recently consistent with them because my lil child likes there banana bread. Am just finding out today that i can register at their website so I can get coupons. And any news about coupons for me is a good one. Who doesn't like savings:)
Can’t speak for the bread, but I can speak for their truck drivers driving like absolute psychos through my neighborhood. A true public nuisance and threat.
Best bread in the area.
