Our third time and the anniversary couple's first time (55 years!) and we were all thoroughly impressed! The food is so authentic - better than any dish we had when we visited Italy! Made with love and fresh ingredients, served by staff who care, and presentation and waitstaff well worth the price. This is not inexpensive, but for any meal with ambiance, and never disappointing, I recommend it highly. Five star everything. We cannot say enough. Thank you for contributing a wonderful Italian option in Tosa area.

I forgot to tell you, they change their menu once a month - but if you like something you might still find it later on - but this is a great idea since it's a local favorite foodie place so customers nearby that frequent don't have all the same food choices!!!! Loved everything about this cute, quaint, delicious spot.

4 of us went there and it was busy - but we still got a place at the counter which isn't as bad as we thought (cuz we really wanted to go there). There was a glass window and we were looking at the kitchen but not the hot busy area of it so not bad. That was the worst, which wasn't bad - the drinks, the staff, the hostess (owner I heard) were fantastic. The drink menu was amazing and the waitstaff very informative and helpful with the menu and questions on it. The name of the restaurant is after the owner's two dogs! Then the food!!! Amazing and so authentic to our best knowledge (having been in Italy once : ) ) Delicious! HIghly recommend this very cool, local spot near E Tosa.

Sat at the bar and had a wonderful experience with our bartender/waiter. We ordered one dish from every section of the menu and couldn't be happier. The butternut squash ravioli was definitely the star of the show. The pomegranate made this a dish I will never forget. Next time we plan to sit by the pasta making station to see the fresh pasta being made. Would 100% recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for excellent Italian cuisine.

A great Italian joint in Wauwatosa. Upscale atmosphere and good handmade pasta!
Their menu changes frequently, so don’t expect to be able to get the same dish twice!
All pasta dishes were very light, with tasty, delicate flavors.
Pappardelle al Ragù di Carne - our favorite noodles of the four dishes we got. A very light ragu with tasty beef.
Maltagliata con Fagioli e Salsiccia - the absolute star of the show. Wonderfully spiced sausage without overpowering the dish. Great on a cold, rainy day.
Caramelle di Zucca - too sweet for our palates, not nearly as flavorful as the other dishes we ordered.
Spaghettone con Pomodorini e Bottarga - a wonderful, light tomato based sauce. The roe was not overpowering and worked well to cut the acidity of the tomatoes.

Ca'lucchenzo, or roughly translated,"The House of pasta and wine," is really an ode to the aforementioned Italian staples, and both are taken to heart by owners Sarah and Zak Baker. This might be the best Italian we have had in the Milwaukee area and you can tell by the rotating menu and handful of seasonal dishes, this is really carefully layered and amazingly deeply flavorful dishes that are meant to be cherished with friends and family. I loved every single dish we had. The foccacia, the fried puffy gnoccho with sharp Parmigiano and pepper, the shishito pepper with walnut pesto... and chances are good, by the time you read this, you may not be able to get these dishes. Have the ragu, in whatever form it comes in. Take the recommendation of the wait staff and chance the wild mushroom risotto... you will not regret it. Have a bottle of wine... or two. Sip and savor. It will be worth it! Splurge on a desert. The pana cotta will taste silky smooth with a sweet fruity topping and crunchy, salty granola topping. Oooo... so good! The wait staff are attententive and fun, with a bit of down to earth Midwestern hospitality, and they know the food and wine they serve! I highly, highly recommend this place if you love Italian food!

Ever since reading a Journal Sentinel article several weeks ago, I have been wanting to go. And then someone gave me a gift card!
Made a reservation and got seating right away. It was 6:00pm and the place was already filling up. Our server did a great job throughout the entire night. Explained all the drinks and food choices, offered his personal recommendations, and was very personable. (thanks Anthony)
The drinks, appetizers, and entrees were all VERY good. Got the Goat Cheese Crostone, Caciocavallo alla Piastra, and Pappardelle Ragu (with Venison). All flavorful, hot, and good sized portions. They make their own fresh pasta and you can definitely tell the difference (and you can actually watch them make the pasta while you eat)
Had leftovers so we saved room for dessert. We shared the Plum and Almond Gallette, with vanilla gelato. That was also amazingly good.
The entire evening was excellent.
Parking: convenient parking in the private lot next door.

Alls I can say is WOW! I love this place. The pasta is made fresh and absolutely perfect! I’ve even eaten at multiple Michelin starred restaurants in Italy, and their pasta noodles holds up to that quality! All fresh ingredients beautifully composed in each dish. I can’t wait to return next week!

Probably the best Italian food in the state. Pasta, bread, and drinks were all on point. Rivaled only by maybe Bartolotta Restorante.

It was our first time at Ca’Lucchenzo and it will not be our last. The experience of sitting at the pasta counter, the food, and our server were all amazing. We started with a bottle of red wine that our server recommended. The wine service was excellent and the wine was perfect; light and flavorful just what we wanted. We had two of the antipasti’s also at the servers recommendation which were both delicious. The rigatoni and trofie pastas were fantastic and the sweet corn custard dessert was unbelievable. We will be back, hopefully soon, to see what new and exciting things are on the menu.
