I was hesitant to try this restaurant due to some conflicting reviews, but I am SO glad I went! The food was delicious, and the service was great. I tried meatballs, ravioli, perch, tiramisu, and small complimentary desert wine. It was such an outstanding meal, I cannot wait to come back! I think the rotating menus make it such a fun and unique experience. Although it is pricey, I think everyone should check it out at some point!

My husband and I have been talking about going here for 2 years, as it is nestled right in our little hometown. The atmosphere is so quaint and we could have sat there all night, drinking wine. However, the food really let us down. The only items we enjoyed were the desserts and when you are paying around $250 we want to LOVE it! All the staff was wonderful and kind - they brought us some dessert wine and extra treats because they knew the kitchen was slower. I know the menu rotates around Italy, and this menu this go around was really not the best…

Service was outstanding. It was a northern Italy theme dining night but the four-course menu selection was reminiscent of Germany. For the price, we were disappointed.

Yes, it's a prefix menu, but it changes every six weeks and there are plenty of options. I had an enjoyable dinner, and I will return after the menu changes again.

I think this is one of those restaurants where you might come once but probably won't return. The atmosphere is nice and shooting for romantic but honestly the chairs are not comfortable at all.The food is probably the most disappointing. It is a 4 course meal and you get to choose from 3-5 choices for each course and a couple of them will be for extra charge. That would be fine but honestly for the price, quantity, and choices i really didn't think it was worth it. You can definitely get better food for the same price you would pay here. For the anti pasta we tried the Carne Salada Alla Trentina andPolenta Di Mais E Patate Con Ciuiga Del Banale E Formaggio Di Malga Trentino (yes, the names are long). The shaved beef was really good and we enjoyed it but the sausage was horrendous; it was burnt and just sad.For the primi we went with Rufioi Mocheni Con Burro Fuso E Salvia and Strangolapreti Agli Spinaci Con Crema Di Formaggi Dolci D’Alpeggio. The ravioli was good but not phenomenal and the gnocchi was really not great. I actually probably didn't like the gnocchi the most out of the courses we had.For the Secondi, we got the Puntine Di Maiale Con Cavolo Rosso In Agrodolce and Guancette Di Vitello Al Teroldego Con “Oro Rosso Di Storo” Polenta. These two we liked but were on the fatty side. The ribs were deff on the burnt side but the veal was cooked really well. Finally the desserts, we went with Strudel Di Mela Con Gelato Alla Cannella and Budino Di Mou Salato. The strudel was ok but the pudding was a killer. I really liked it and would happily go back if i can just get that :)Parking: Very little street parking available but there are a few parking lots near the restaurant that you can utilize.

Last night we went out for my birthday to Ristorante Bartotta, it was my first time there and we had no idea what to expect. The menu as we learned was a tour of Trento Italy, and you picked 4 courses for only $75. We really enjoyed tasting all the different dishes and stepping out of our comfort zone. I really enjoyed the tortel di patate one of the best potato pancakes i ever had, would love to buy and take home 2 dozen.. my wife was tortured by the “strangolapreti” as it was so good but yet so filling… and best of all her 14 year old daughter stepped out of her normal foods and really likes the polpette, the traditional homemade ravioli dish and mixed grill…. I also want to complement all of the service. We have been to many restaurants late on a sunday night, last table, and they act like they just want us to leave… last night we felt we could have stayed for hours just chatting with the staff. My only suggestion would be to move that table further from corner and a little more room between tables. The ambiance was just great reminded me of the italian joints in nyc i grew up with, and finally the high quality bottled water was a hit.. cant wait to go back and take a different tour when they switch regions!

This is my first Yelp review but I felt compelled to share our experience. My wife and I were walking around the village of Wauwatosa and decided to pop in and grab some dinner. Only after we were seated and ordered a drink, where we shown the menus and explained that it was a set menu at a set price. I was not interested in a set menu for $75 but because we had ordered the drinks we didn't want to be rude and get up and leave. We proceeded to see multiple people experience the same surprise attack, with some people electing to finish their drink and leave. All I would ask is that they explain to people coming in about the set menu and price before being seated and ordering drinks. The deceptive strategy put a bad taste in our mouth about this restaurant and we will not be returning. In fact left me with a sour taste for the entire Bartolotta chain.

Excellent dinner!! Each course of the meal was outstanding. Delicious flavors, presentation was very appealing, and service was attentive without being too intrusive. Overall, another wonderful experience.

Fixed price. Quite pricey. Several choices for each course but we miss the “old Bartolottas” and choices. They change menu often depending on the area of Italy they want to emphasize.

My only real issue was the amount of time it took to get served bread and have orders taken. Otherwise dishes came out at appropriate times. I would have liked our tables to be spaced out more. I do want to suggest looking into non alcoholic wines to include in your menu. I've been noticing a lot more variety then ever before. Thank you for a lovely evening.

Our entire evening was Amazing! The service was impeccable, the food was delicious, the drinks were Great, everything was fantastic. I asked a few questions because the menu is set up a tad different (4 course menu) and they were answered with recommendations and descriptive input. Overall, zero complaints and I would definitely go back.

Everything was excellent, I made reservations for the wrong, Bartolotta, and I called Ristorante up, and the meter D said he will hold the table until I got there. The food was excellent ! Although that wasn't whatI expected, when the meter D said they don't serve steak and lobster, I thought it was a joke. Thank you again for everything we will be back.

Bartolotta dal 1993 is an awesome place for dinner. The food and service is amazing. Had a reservation but didn't get seat until 20 mins after the time. Highly recommend this place. The changing menu is outstanding.

John, one of the managers was very nice and talkative. One of our servers was a bit slow and seemed a little overwhelmed at first. It was a busy night at 5pm .but seems normal for them.after the slow start everything moved along nicely. The food was absolutely delicious and paced nicely. I did feel a bit rushed at the end considering we sat without our drinks for 20 mins to start the evening.
