Just had the best breakfast at Ted’s Ice Cream & Restaurant! If you in the area of 62nd & North you have to try it! Excellent Eggs Benedict and huge strawberry covered pancakes! You can see why they have been in business since 1941.
A fun, cozy, and friendly place! Food was quick and hot. We came here the day before as well!
Such a cool diner! The corned beef hash was fire. Coffee was a little weak even for a diner. The M shaped seating is nifty. Fun that you get unique home style mugs.

I first became a customer of Ted's in the summer of 1950, when we moved into the neighborhood at 2508 N.63rd. I paid one nickle for an orange pushup and loved the place ever since. Gary Zenda, Caledonia, WI.
One of a kind retro Diner in the best way. The red and white decor is classic and meticulously done. The menu follows with the typical Diner items, but the fish fry is almost an absolute must at Ted's. It's fresh tasting and lightly fried. Very friendly and professional service just like the old days that's the main reason to travel from anywhere to eat here!
Had a wonderful experience! Came with my 5 kiddos and my cousin and her 2 kiddos. It was super cute inside! The waitress was very kind and helpful and was not frazzled at all by our group of kids! The food was delicious and the ice cream was so incredibly good! Will definitely be back again.
Definitely going to come back stoped for ice cream before a concert Sunday’s are wonderful atmosphere is a nice throw back family ran and the kids help definitely going back
First timer. Cool atmosphere. Vintage family vibe. But this ice cream.....was horrible, the strawberries were a soggy mess, no visible bananas after my daughter dug through hers looking for them, the presentation sucked, ice cream was full of ice and had a odd taste to it. I didn't bother returning it or making a fuss. The world is complicated enough. Bad first-time experience... wouldn't dare go back.

This place is always severely understaffed, particularly at breakfast. The food is OK, but there are much better options for breakfast on North Ave. The ice Cream is pretty good, but the accouterments are terrible. Again, better ice cream options right down North

Love this place. Breakfast in a classic American diner, two eggs over medium, crispy bacon, hash browns and toast along with diner coffee. All for a reasonable price.

It's an old school diner that is the antithesis of all the hipster garbage every other tosa resturant devoulved into. You wont find $25 dollar avacado toast here, just no bs eggs bacon and hash browns with your black plain coffee in a ceramic cup all for a price that undercuts dennys but deliveres much better food. Staff is also top flight nice! I can's describe how rare it is to find a place that just serves a good simple breakfest is! Also RIP johns sandwitch shop.

Just go!! Family owned since 1941! Clean with original fixtures! I moved away from this area so hadn’t been there since 1987!! Where can you go and get great food and service like you remembered 35 years ago!? All the food is great and homemade!! Best fish fry! Great breakfast and lunch!

This was a joke!! Look at the pictures.
The waitress told us at 11:51 am that we can’t get breakfast because they only serve breakfast til noon. Hmm… it’s before noon. But rather than pointing that out we ordered lunch instead.
We decided to order the Ted’s grilled cheese, which is supposed to be a grilled cheese with bacon and tomatoes. When it came out, it looked ok until we opened the sandwich and had one strip of cheese, one strip of bacon and a very under ripe tomato.
Between two grilled cheese sandwiches, an order of cheese curds and two root beers, we were charged $30. Now if our bread ACTUALLY had a decent amount of cheese and bacon that would have been fine but to charge more than 5 dollars for that is ridiculous!!
