I’ve had the pleasure of dining at the Norbert a few times now. Both times my girlfriends and I shared quite a few of the small plates, as well as a few entrees. Every bite of every plate was delicious. Our favorites are the fried shrimp and the beef short ribs. We tried the steak Tatar for the first time last night and it was phenomenal. We have never had anything but a 10/10 meal here. Service is also great, and their martinis always are a hit!

We have been to The Norbert numerous times and it is always incredible. From staff, to drinks, to service to food. It is absolutely our favorite restaurant in West Bend. Last week we had the best steak tartare I have had maybe ever and their burger is also one of my favorite items. I am always surprised and delighted by their menu options. Simply outstanding and I highly recommend!!

I recently used The Norbert for catering and I cannot recommend them enough. The food was outstanding and the service was so personalized and accommodating. All of the choices were delicious and wonderfully prepared. We received countless compliments and would highly recommend for parties large or small. On top of absolutely loving The Norbert as a restaurant we now love that we have a go-to for catering as well. We are so appreciative to Tony and his awesome staff. Thank you!!!

I’ve visited this restaurant twice on visits to West Bend and it seems to have only gotten better. The Norbert provides exquisite meals prepared with a sense of big city fine dining in a casual atmosphere. On this occasion I had the opportunity to try the Beef Cheek Ragu. The dish was well balanced and hit all the flavor points and more than I expected. The stradette pasta was a new experience for me and was perfectly cooked. For dessert I definitely recommend you try the hazelnut cake, especially if you’re a nut lover. Again, not disappointed at all, and can’t wait to stop by again on my next visit.

This place is amazing. Highly recommend the steak sandwich and spare ribs. Oh and the bread pudding is also so so good. The food, service and vibe are very special. Thank you to them for getting us seated at the chef’s table. It was an excellent experience all the way around. I’d give them more stars if I could.

Side kitchen bar top, near expo, best seats in the house. Friendly and attentive staff. Bring a friend, or 3, and crush thru the menu. Excellent wine and cocktail selections. We don’t make it here often enough, but when we do, never disappointed. Cheers ??

My wife and I decided to try this place out, and we are so glad we did. It was 6pm on a Friday and we sat at the bar. The set up is really cool with being able to see all of the kitchen staff at work preparing the dishes. We started with martinis that were made well by a friendly bartender. For food we had the brussels and the fried chicken small plates. The brussels were the best I have ever had due to the way they are prepared with fresh mint leaves and other good stuff. The fried chicken was amazing and the pickled cucumbers that come with the chicken are also very good. We will be back soon!

Stopped in yesterday for an impromptu visit. The reviews looked good & the photos were nice. Boy this place did not disappoint! The staff was friendly & inviting, Anne Marie in particular gave us some great recommendations on tapas. The host knew exactly which drink we would love (Old Fashioned) & the manager/owner was very thoughtful. We travel to West Bend a couple of time a month to Tipsy Nails Spa West Bend and will definitely be making The Norbert part of our trip from now on!

In a word...Wow! We chose The Norbert because it had many options that were gluten free, this is a struggle at many restaurants . But it is clear at The Norbert the chefs understand that you should let a foods natural flavors come through and not cover them by dredging the food in flour. They offer up WI classics like cheescurds and fried chicken in a delicate coating of flour alternatives to still give you the classic food but keep it fresh and light. The flavor profiles of everything was of the charts. We had the cheese curds, brussel sprouts, fried chicken and steak tacos and EVERYTHING was amazing. The waitstaff is friendly and responsive to your needs. The owner is clear and present and working his tail off to make your experience the best! As we were preparing to leave, it was pouring rain, the owner thought he had some umbrellas stashed and stopped us to go looking for them. While he couldn't find them, the offer and time he spent to do this was very much appreciated. Then his staff suggested we come back in for some dessert. We said there was nothing gluten free in desserts and we were told, well, we may have something for you. The amazing chef, I think his name was Jay, made us an Australian Pavlova. Again, it had the most amazing flavor profile and texture variation, of any dessert we have ever had. West Bend has a hidden gem among it, The Norbert is a must stop for everyone, but make sure you leave us a table, because we will be back!

It has been awhile since I dined at the Norbert, but it is still as perfect as the last time. The atmosphere is so quaint and relaxing yet buzzing with staff. I love that you can see the kitchen preparing dishes and the whole place is flowing with delightful smells.

We had a beautiful heirloom tomato salad with fresh buffalo mozzarella, juicy peaches, aromatic basil leaves drizzled with balsamic reduction. Smooth and so refreshing.

Our favorite dish by far was the fried chicken. The homemade ranch was out of this world and the sauce on the chicken had so many layers of flavor. Paired with their pickled cucumbers, perfect!

We also tried the pear and brie flatbread as well as the shrimp pasta! Just really well executed.

Ended with the bread pudding. It'll make you slap your momma, lol!

The owner is present and very attentive. I appreciate a well-run small business that does not waiver on quality and patronage. Hats off to you. Ty. We'll be back!
