Came for the first time to experience the all you can eat chicken. Save yourselves the time and skip this place if that’s what you want. If you do want more chicken it will take at least 20 minutes!!! Who wants to spend that much time sitting and waiting. Very clever advertising and clever way to avoid what is advertised!! Will not be back or recommend this place to anyone!!

Food & service are excellent, but it definitely is not the place for groups over 6 (unless sitting at separate tables is ok). This was my first time here, so I didn't know how small bar, dining area and parking lot really are. My group sees each other only 2 or 3 times a year, so we did squeeze 2 people on one end. The broasted chicken and german potato salad are AMAZING. I also had 1/2 of a large strawberry schaum torte that reminded me of mom's. Everyone enjoyed the food they ordered. I certainly will be back some day, but with a smaller group! 😉

The Old Cedar Inn in West Bend is a fantastic spot all around. The food is consistently delicious, the service is friendly and attentive, and the drinks are always well made. The atmosphere is warm, inviting, and perfect for both a casual meal or a night out. The menu has plenty of great options, and everything we tried was flavorful and cooked just right. Highly recommend stopping in—you won’t be disappointed.

Having frequented this establishment approximately six times, I believe I can provide a justified two-star rating. The culinary offerings are acceptable, neither exceptional nor subpar. However, the service consistently falls short of expectations. Across various visits and with different servers, the pace of service has been notably slow. Tonight marks our final visit. The sole server appeared to be managing all responsibilities, including incoming calls, even though we were present prior to most of these calls, and exhibited a somewhat dismissive demeanor. We waited to be seated, despite being the only patrons waiting, and the server prioritized a phone call over acknowledging our presence. A simple greeting or an indication of being busy but available shortly would have been appreciated. As customers, a basic level of acknowledgment is expected. Upon being seated, we experienced cold air blowing directly on us from the vents. We then opted for the bar area to avoid this discomfort. After waiting at the bar for seven minutes, I inquired with the bartender if we could order directly from them. She clarified that a server would attend to us at the table adjacent to the bar. Following a further period of unacknowledged waiting, we decided to depart. I recall the food being satisfactory on previous occasions and had anticipated trying the fish tonight. However, the numerous service issues were too significant to overlook, and I hope the establishment addresses these areas for improvement.
Didn't care for my fish fry. Had the all you can eat, I did not reorder. After dinner Ice cream drink was good.
I will not go back for a fish fry but would like to try their other entrees.

After a fantastic first experience, we came back a second time. We spent $75 on a take out order. Upon getting home, we found we were missing our mozzarella sticks. We called and the lady on the phone said the realized that and they would put our name on a note for next time. ( We live in Rubicon and didn't want to drive back). The following week we called in an order. A different woman said there was no note but she would talk to the owners. When we picked up the order they said it never happened. After we left with our order I found on our receipt that we were charged $3 more for our Perch Fish Fries than posted on their menu online. Then I was charged $3 for a takeout fee for the fish fries. We also ordered a side and was charged another $1 takeout fee for that! We will NEVER GO BACK THERE. We were a good customer that tipped well and they ripped us off for mozzarella sticks and then at least another $10. I'm sorry I spent $275 there already!

I have been to this restaurant numerous times. The food is always fantastic. My favorite is the roasted chicken. And such friendly staff. Just got a to go order from there and they were superb.
