4th base just made the top of the list of my favorite restaurants in Milwaukee. Don’t be fooled by the unpretentious sports bar vibe, this place serves up steaks and seafood that rival the longstanding steak house classics in the area. The appetizer list and specials are a great place to start but don’t be afraid to get creative and customize your entrees! Where else can you get buffalo wings and mozzarella sticks alongside high quality filet mignons and crab? Very friendly staff and atmosphere will definitely be back soon.

For our Saturday Date Night we decided to try here. It is your typical corner sports bar with very cool memorabilia. They have no paper menu with pricing, they do have a board with food items but no prices. There is a food case where you pick what you want to eat & how you want it & they cook it. There was lobster, steaks, scallops & salmon… everything looked good.
We each had 2 drinks which were good then decided to order the crab stuffed portobello mushroom it was yummy… then for dinner I ordered a medium rare filet with mushrooms, when I got it it looked about 8oz & had 1 sliced mushroom & haystack onions. He ordered the medium ribeye with parmigiana fries he thought the seasoning was good but it was tough & chewy. The food was ok, not the best but not horrible.
The issue came when we got the bill… I was completely disgusted!!! $240 to sit at a bar. I guess we didn’t realize we should have confirmed the price of everything before we ordered🫤
We won’t be returning & sadly we won’t get a date night next week cause this was waaaayyy out of our budget! 😢

The Fourth Base asked me why I gave them a one star review. Well here it is ....while I was eating there with my wife and a childhood friend who recommended the place the bartender was making anti-Semitic jokes to my face probably thinking I was Jewish because I do look somewhat Jewish while at the bar while I was ordering. This is why I gave you one star. I'd give you a negative star and report you to the anti-defamation league if I could. Anyone who's Jewish or a good Christian should never visit that restaurant. And if you're a person who hates antisemitism you shouldn't go there. By the way I used to work for the Brewers. I was given a salad that was rotten. The steaks were undercooked and the bartender was an anti-semite. They hire antisemites to run their bar and I think he was either the owner or a manager. I was so offended I went out and sat in the car while my friends finished their dinner. The place is disgusting and service should never be like that. I grew up in Milwaukee suffered a lot of antisemitism; the town is filled with hate and it's definitely in that restaurant. I wish I could've contested my charges but I wasn't gonna be that low not like that bartender.
A great experience, staff, service and chef , nothing was too much trouble and meals amazing!

I really enjoyed the food and being big on sports it was a great experience. My girlfriend and I went to eat there she had the filet mignon that was cooked at medium well and she got exactly that. So tender and juicy and full of flavor. I had the hot honey chicken sandwich that had a sweet spicy kick to it. The appetizer we had was the bacon wrapped jumbo shrimp that was phenomenal. Everything was cooked perfectly . I recommend this place to everyone not just sports fans. So go in and order what they have because they have no menu you can make a dish up and if they have it they will make it. Pretty cool!!!

When you say the menu style isn't for everyone what does that mean?
when asking how much each item is and the wait staff must shout across the bar thru loud music to find out what prices are it isn't conducive.
A scrubbie wire was found in our beef sandwich, also not conducive.
I have heard so many great things about 4th Base so my friend and I stopped in to see for ourselves. I was blown away by the Sports Memorabilia! Every square inch of the walls, ceilings and cabinets are covered with amazing photos, jerseys, cards and everything sports. It's a literal Sports Museum with great Food and Drinks! The Staff was very accommodating especially Savanna our bartender. We are definately returning to sample some of the amazing food selections that they offer.

One of my favorite places to have visited ever. If you like the movie, Major League, even better.
There’s food in a deli case; tell them how you want it cooked.
Let your eyes feast all around. Let your face smile from the bartender making you life. Place makes me want to live.
The food is fantastic! Great fish and phenomenal onion rings!! The perch was amazing, but I’d love another piece for the price. The drinks/service were okay. It was super packed on the Friday we went. The one thing I would say is the drinks are way too pricy here. Old fashions are very over priced for their type of scene. Hopefully the owners see this and knock them down to match the other restaurants nearby. Otherwise, great place and super cool memorabilia displayed.

I want to apologize for my earlier review. Since posting that, I have been back twice, and I can confidently say this is truly the best place to get fish. The food here is outstanding, and I honestly did not realize just how fresh everything is. This is not frozen perch at all. You can absolutely taste the difference, and it shows in the quality.
The fish is phenomenal every time, and the onion rings are still some of the best I have had. I also changed things up and started getting bottled Miller High Life with my fish, and it just works perfectly. I am genuinely obsessed at this point.
This place has an amazing niche, from the food to the atmosphere and the cool memorabilia on display. It is clear they know exactly what they are doing, and they do it extremely well. Huge respect and blessings to this place. I will definitely be back a lot more, and I hope they continue doing exactly what they are doing.

I had heard so much about this place and was really excited, but ultimately quite disappointing. The appetizer was 2 bacon wrapped shrimp for $30 which came out right away even before our drinks. We asked for some bread with it which took 20 minutes. Another 20 minutes the crab scampi for $35 came out which was quite flavorless except for tons of garlic, skimpy on crab, and no parmesan cheese offered. 20 minutes after that the other entree came out, a shaved steak sandwich for $20, which was bland, and the fries had come out 10 minutes earlier.
All in all, too expensive, bland flavors other than garlic, and slow and poorly timed service of the food.

We arrived early with a reservation for 6 pm. We were so excited to try the food from the scratch kitchen. We were there only table there in the back room. We drank, ordered, and had a great time. Meanwhile all the other tables filled up, ordered, were seated and started to leave. We never got our order. When we told the waitress she said, “Your food will come.” It never did. When we told the cook, he said she put the order in at 8 pm and there were 6 other orders ahead of us. No offer for a free meal, appetizer, or to put our order ahead. So disappointed.

Their food is really good. They don't have a menu really, it's just options, but that just means that everything is seasonaly available. You just talk to the (friendly and knowledgeable) cook and find out what's good that day. It's an experience I have never had, and besides being initially confused, I had a wonderful time.
