When I asked for a half pound of brisket, I didn't expect it to come on a bowl..

Good food and portion size is excellent. We sit outside and enjoy the ambiance. The new young owners are great. Ate breakfast there and it was fantastic. Community is lucky to have this restaurant and it’s fine young owners. Keep up the great work.

You’ve lost something. I got a rack of ribs. It was very overcooked. Actually flavorless. That’s an expensive poor showing. I’ve been there my last. I’ll spread my experience.

Have been there 3 times. Gave it a good try, just in case. But, no thanks, not going back. Every time something was wrong. Cold sides, small portions and shredded dry brisket. $27 dollars for that? Have some respect for animals that gave their lives. Have a little compassion for people that have to pay top dollars for such mediocre food.

Everything was perfect. Ordered brisket 1/4 chx platter. Probably the best brisket Ive had outside of home. Chicken was by far the best Ive had. The guys behind the counter were great. We're an hour and a half from home and I 100% will make the drive back.

While feeling homesick and hungry, I asked around about a good BBQ place. I was recommended Big Boar by a coworker.
I didn't get his name but the guy who took my order was very friendly and helpful and even recommended two items from the menu. The wait time was pretty short, maybe a couple of minutes.

I fully intended on eating my ribs off of the bone but the meat slid right off so I just cave-manned it. There were four different sauces that I saw, three of which I tried (because I'm a wimp who can't eat spicy anything). The sweet BBQ sauce was the traditional sort of sauce. The Norms BBQ sauce tastes like it was maybe mustard based but still had that BBQ sauce glaze look and texture to it. Very good and I normally don't like mustard. The tangy BBQ sauce was ultimately the one I kept using and tasted jammy, maybe raspberry based?

Although the coleslaw was vinegar based rather than creamy, it did have what seemed to be bits of chopped peppers in it (not spicy). Red and green bell maybe, or at least red bell and green chili? So that redeemed it by a few points.
The corn muffin was slightly sweet and soft, as a corn muffin should be, and the soft spreadable butter went great with it.

The dinner roll existed. The butter pat was nice and soft too.

I liked that it was served on a spacious tray which allowed me to be a sloppy menace without going full toddler mode on the table and my lap. Though I did somehow get butter halfway down my forearm but I'll let that speak for how much I enjoyed Big Boar BBQ.

Finally, they not only had root beer on tap, but they had my favorite root beer, MUG.

If my family from Oklahoma come to visit and need some BBQ, I know where I'll be taking them ₍ᐢ・⚇・ᐢ₎b

We had Big Boar BBQ cater our rehearsal dinner of ~ 50 people last fall. While the food tasted wonderful, communication with the catering team was less than ideal. We worked with Denise to set up the initial details, but were bounced around to a few others on the team as the event date grew closer- none of whom seemed to have the complete event picture. We went with the BBQ pork sandwiches and everyone commented on how flavorful they were… kid approved too! In the end, catering service and delivery went well, but the planning process was clunky and stressful.

The last few times I've been there they haven't had the brisket burnt ends. This would be more understandable if it wasn't just after they opened for the day.

Friendly staff that actually looks at you and speaks to you, instead of quietly punching in an order like an automaton. The food was a wonderful surprise and it's not just ticking an option on the menu. Tenders were breaded well and crispy, Hot-Honey chicken was wonderful as was their wrap. The entire family was pleased. Will certainly return if we're in the area and hungry.

Food is ready very quickly and service is good. The brisket is amazing and I am definitely planning to be back for more and to try out the ribs. Price is very reason for the amount of food as well.
