Cash only is fine. Food was very good. Things you would think of most of the time. I enjoyed, and the donuts are a must. That was my first and will not be my last.

Entrance states cash only and no atm in the establishment. Might want to let people know BEFORE they get there that they're going to need cash. Other than that the food and service was very good.

Great place. I loved the menu and decorations all over about the family and others. The service and food were awesome too!

Came here on a late Sunday morning. Busy business but they move quickly. The food was so good. We had the big breakfast with banana pancakes. The pancakes were the best banana cakes I've ever had. Will be returning and highly recommended.

Good food, nice staff. Prices are a lil on the high end for some things, mainly drinks. The food makes it worth it. Its small and cozy with a very unique decor, as it should, seeing as the building looks like an igloo.

This is a breakfast and lunch restaurant. Everything on the menu is very good. We have taken friends from the east and west coasts there and they all enjoyed themselves. Sometime you might even get to see the author James Patterson enjoying his breakfast there, but be cool and do not ask for his autograph- he just wants to enjoy hs food like anyone else. We lived in the Bay and still went there often just because no one can do their strawberry crepe pancakes as well.

Great breakfast, friendly staff, unique dining experience. Long waits - they don't take reservations. Cash only - no credit cards. Well worth your visit!

Great service and great food. Definitely the best breakfast place in the area. By far the nicest folks and the best doughnuts around! I highly recommend this place to anyone in the area.

Just had brunch at Daddy Maxwells Diner. We loved the Monday special, Door County Cherry French Pancakes--excellent! French = extra eggs and vanilla, yummy Staff was very attentive and friendly. Excellent value. We will be back!

Great local diner. Be advised: cash only. Love the fish tacos and potato pancakes. Diverse menu, almost overwhelming, just tell the wait staff what you want and they will recommend something great.

The next time I tried to go to Daddy Maxwell they refused to cook an egg because they said they had turned the grills off even though they weren't closed yet and they can't cook an egg on the same Grill as a hamburger which I don't understand or don't they have a pot? Very unhappy with this next visit. They will lose business this way. There is nothing posted saying that you can't get breakfast for an hour before they close etc etc etc

A taste of home under the dome! We loved the food especially the blueberry French batter pancakes. Very quaint place.

Saturday breakfast did not disappoint! We got to the restaurant around 9am and we're seated at the very last available table. First of all - the service is outstanding, everyone is so nice, very kind, very attentive! Huge selection of food, took a while but we decided to try/split banana pancake and chorizo omelette. Outstanding! Omelette was cooked French style, cooked thinly and rolled with vegetables and meats inside! It didn't taste heavy at all! Excellent! Banana pancake was very fluffy, light, I ate it without a syrup and loved it!

Old school diner-ish restaurant in Williams Bay. It's been here approximately 35 years. Local favorite.Huge menu including Senior discounted meals, kids menu, Vegetarian options. Breakfast, lunch, dinner. Reasonably priced.James Patterson, well known author, spent some time here while writing a book.

We have heard good things about this diner, so we decided to try it tonight. One waitress said they had beer "Miller products", our actual one said that they had it but the holder of the license does not want it sold. HUH? My wife ordered the senior coconut shrimp, I ordered the senior two piece fried haddock dinner. The shrimp were fried nearly black, and were served with cocktail sauce instead of a sweet and sour sauce or some such. She was finally able to get some marmalade, which worked better. I was served two tiny pieces of haddock. Both were over done; one was to the point of being inedible. The other one could at least be eaten, but was bone dry since it was overdone. My wife could not eat the potato pancakes; the fries were just so-so. Obviously a lot of people have gotten good food here; we were not those people. We will not be back.
