Beautiful event space with a view!
Privato hosted our 50-person wedding on 9/9/23 and we could not have asked for a better experience. Sara was so kind, helpful, and flexible during our planning process. On the day of our wedding, the staff were so sweet and did such a great job. I believe Alyssa was managing that evening and she did an excellent job and was so accommodating. We had guests tell us it felt like our wedding was being hosted at a friend’s house rather than a venue, and we agree. It felt so personal and special thanks to Sara and the staff. We also had guests tell us it was the best food they had ever had at a wedding! It was delicious and accurate to our guest orders. Also, the tiramisu was absolutely amazing! They were also able to accommodate a few tricky allergies our guests had, which we really appreciate. The space just felt so comfortable and Sara was so wonderful moving everything for us according to our discussed plan.Sara and the whole staff really made our day feel so special and relaxed, we cannot thank them enough!

NICE place - great selection of liquor! Bartenders very attentive.
Fantastic! Great staff, great food!
Unfortunately Privato is closed until further notice.
Great food ambiance and choice of music..desserts were masterpieces
Set up a carry out order, everything was ready when they said it would be. The food was good, everything in the order was correct despite it being complex due to some food allergies. I haven't dined in but will definitely do carry out again.
Dietary restrictions: They did very well accommodating the members of our party with good allergies.

This is a review for the three restaurants of the same owner: Café Calamari, Harpoon Willies, and Priváto.I first came to Café Calamari in June of this year. Immediately, after taking my seat at the bar, which is very elegant, I was treated by Don, the manager, as a recognized local patron. He took great care of me, brought me delicious food, and treated me like I was the only guest there. At the end of the evening, he treated me to a flaming Sambuca, which I never had (no restaurant I’ve dined at since is willing to make one). That same night, Don gave me permission to stay overnight my 40-foot motor coach in the parking lot. My mention of this is not a suggestion that visitors request this because it’s easy for one to overstay his welcome with something so large, but it was yet another unwarranted gesture of hospitality. The following night, at Don’s suggestion, I dined at the sister restaurant, Priváto. It’s billed as a “pizza bistro,” but is also very elegant, and is more accurately characterized as a fine dining establishment in its own right. That night, at Don’t suggestion, the bartender made me the most amazing hickory-smoked old fashioned. I had at least two. Again, no restaurant since has been willing or able to make one. The drink was amazing. And the food was amazing. As a result of these experiences, I went out of my way on a trip from Chicago, and returned again in October, and I was again treated to an amazing dining experience for three nights in a row. One thing I noticed is that the restaurant is full of locals who all know each other, love the restaurants’ owners and staff, and are good to each other and also to people passing through. I would also like to add that the pizza at Priváto was some of the best I’ve had in a long time (being mindful, of course, that there are many styles of pizza). In conclusion, let me share this: the ingredients for a fine dining experience are simple: good hospitality; good atmosphere; and good food. If any of these is absent, the experience will not be good. In my home town of Prescott, WI —which is also a tourist town— we have spent as much as $800/month, and the staff still didn’t recognize us when we went in. Instead, they are strictly oriented toward the tourists, and really don’t seem to care if the food, service, or atmosphere is acceptable, because every diner is replaceable by new tourists the next day and the next year.I don’t know the owners of Café Calamari, Harpoon Willies, and Priváto, but they’ve hit it out of the park with hospitality, food, and atmosphere. It is worth going out of your way to dine here.
Good was good waitress was good We went ar the same time as a rehearsal dinner so the kitchen was busy but they were in a private room The wait for food was therefore understandable and not the worse I have experienced
Restaurantji Recommends
I find that this restaurant does not know what they want to be. I love the location - people were great. Pizza outstanding But the rest I don't know what they are trying to be
Fantastic atmosphere, food and staff! Would definitely recommend! The meatball appetizer is also amazing!
Great place to host an event! Don, Sara and staff made it seamless. Amazing food!
Pizza tasted good. And majority of the small bites were also good, although the sausages we didn't like. The taste was not good, and they were raw in the middle. We also tasted the meatballs, which did not have much of a taste. Very sad, because the ingredients are great. But it lacked flavour. The portians are by far too big for small bites. We were totally full after them and couldn't really eat the pizzas. We wanted to order an Italian Wedding soup, and it turned out they actually don't have it, although it's on the menu...But still our main problem with the place are the followings: we had to wait 40 minutes for our table while we saw free tables everywhere at the place. Absolutely didn't make sense to make us wait that long. After that we were directed to our table but the room was terribly cold. The waiter told us the aircon is off, but this temperature did not allow us to enjoy our time there. It was freezing colt. It was cold outside too so maybe some heating would make sense.....
I used to get my Mediterranean gluten free pizza here, so ordered again. Another place that decided to change things that weren't broken. ?Now gf crust is cauliflower based and terrible! Cheese was barely melted. Regular crust was gummy(most likely underdone). Time to look for a different place, unfortunately. Sad, really. #ifitsnotbrokedontfixit
