Enjoyed a really nice meal on the road to Chicago. Food was terrific, including the cheese curds (this New Jerseyan's first). Our server was quite friendly while juggling us sitting outside on the covered patio. Inside had a cool vibe too.
Roadside was delicious! We got a burger with fried onions, a chicken pot pie, and the cut roast sandwich. All of it was pretty good! The only thing they could do better on was the wait staff.
And by better wait staff I mean they need more assistance. They looked rushed and stressed out. I think the he higher ups could do better with hiring more staff and support them better
Got the view of a disgusting Days Inn.? Food wasn’t great. Bathroom was…. We don’t talk about it ? Carpet was falling apart.

I ended up staying the night at the Days Inn next door to this restaurant and tried it out for dinner in late May. Great vibe and beer (selection and quality!). Service was great also. I happened to come on an AYCE rib and chicken night. Great food for a great price. For the sake of full clarity, food snobs would say the meats were technically overdone. My thought though....how do you have AYCE ready to go for a full restaurant AND have it be cooked to order at the same time? Somethings gotta give and if that means the chicken falls apart a lil, so be it. It tasted GREAT. Wish I lived closer, I'd be here all the time! Keep up the good work!
