Just found this gem. The food was absolutely amazing! The truffle fries the best fries I have ever had. Great wait staff and fun dive bar vibe. Exactly how they describe it. A must try...your taste buds will explode.

Our first ever visit was on a Friday night around 5:30pm. The place was packed! We learned seating is essentially first come first serve. No worries, we ordered a drink and waited for 2 seats to open up. Was about 10 minutes.
The burger was an absolute delight! The homemade meatballs are super good. Make those into a meatball sub!!
The service was great despite everyone working busting there butts and all staff was super friendly.
I can't wait for our next visit!!!!!!!!!!!

Seriously annoyed.....not at The Bar Next Door, but myself. We have lived in Deforest for almost 4 years - and I didn't realize we had this treasure in our backyard until tonight while dining with friends. Food was astronomical (Truffle Fries with Garlic Anolie- WOWZA!!!) and service was ahhhhmaaazeballs (thank you, Chad & Tammy - you ROCK'd it 💕). We have found our new favorite date night hang....just bummed that it took so long for us to discover this fantastic establishment! You will be seeing us again soon! ❤️

This place is incredible, and it's all the better for being tucked away in the first floor of a super 8. What this team has done in terms of combining a local spot with great food and drink is incredible. The attention to detail really shows how much they care about doing it right. I got the Elvis and my wife got the regular smash burger. The fries were some of the best I've had. Mike was able to tell what our id order off the bar (Eagle Rare at $8.50) by smell of an empty glass. Megan,who seems to be a regular, was my wife and my BFF for the night. The ahi tuni looked incredible. I just don't know how many more positive things I could say. This place is deceptively superlative even if we watched the Brewers wash out of the playoffs again. Cannot say enough.

Went for the first time this past Friday night. When we got there it was very crowded. We found one table with three stools (there were 4 of us). The manager saw us and quickly found us another stool. He told us it would be less crowded in 20 minutes because there was a large pre-game group there. The service was good and the food was great. Staff was very busy but in control. The smash burger was so good that we want to go back again soon. And BTW...they have good gluten free options, (buns, bread, pita). Would highly recommend!!
Dietary restrictions: Gluten free bread and buns was a big plus.

Our food order didn't get put in and by the time the server checked in on us and we asked about it, an hour had passed and so we left unfortunately due to us not being able to hang around longer this time. We may give it a another chance down the road because the food did look good!
