Mexicali Rose

I was a little skeptical at first because of the mixed reviews but I found the atmosphere, food and service to be excellent! There is a beautiful view of the river and a very nice outdoor patio as well.

We were so excited to try this location as we used to have one in Austin. However, our server really struggled to understand our order (no she was not Spanish speaking). We emphasized multiple times that our daughter wanted just chicken and cheese only enchiladas, they brought them out with sour cream on them (again stated not to) and she didn't understand why they were wrong. I tried to get someone else to help us with the order.. Thankfully we got them fixed but took a lot more work than it was worth. The best part about this location is the view of the dam.

Most of the food was very pleased and I did not like the refried beans too much like bake beans. Everything else was great

I only bought food to take out, but the service was great! The guy gave me chips and salsa to go and was very friendly.

The experience in this place is complete, the food are pretty delicious, the burritos are the best, so the attention is very personalized and while you enjoy your lunch or your dinner you have the best scenery in sight like the river

The food was delicious and delivered quickly. The margaritas, as always, did not disappoint. Diego gave us one of the best services at the restaurant—an incredibly elegant gentleman.
Cons? Honestly, I don't see a reason not to go.

As 4th of July is here I recommend 0% this place it use to be good I’m talking about 5 years ago. But I eat authentic Mexican food and this is very not it. The yortillas were cold, waitress rude af. And we still paid for our food that was last year

Great food, good service and love to sit and watch the water

We were in the Dells for the weekend, and my husband asked why we stopped going to Mexicali Rose. We were quickly reminded why. The food was bland and uninspiring The salsa had more in common with ketchup than actual salsa. The server disappeared for long periods of time and never asked if we wanted refills. They left the bill and never came back to collect it—after 20 minutes, we had to ask someone to find our server. We weren’t the only ones disappointed. We overheard the table next to us complaining to the manager. All I caught was the word "cold." Save your hard earned money for somewhere else.

Terrible food and margaritas…do not even risk going here. The food was tasteless as were the margaritas…they could probably use some employees that spoke English too.

Should’ve realized the place was empty for a reason, brought my family over for lunch, service was slow, food was completely burned, tortillas were old, cold and rock solid, ate without drinks because only one waiter was on shift apparently. worst money ever spent.
We brought it up to the manager, she got rude, and still charged a “gratuity” tip.
What a place. Never coming back and 100% will be advising people I know not to stop by.

Seriously worst place ever the food was burn we only saw the service guy once and it was when he brought food we asked for drinks and never brought anything and once again FOOD WAS BAD it was super burn and some of it was cold.
