You are probably wondering why I gave 5 stars for everything, but not overall... Well the food was very good and plenty of it, as it is an all you can eat kind of place. That being said, I don't like that style of eating. If there was an option for not all you can eat (family style) dinning, I would have gave it 5 stars. The food was very good and it was a fun place. Staff was very nice and helpful.

The service was horrible. My husband and I sat The waiter comes over to my table and says what’s up? I looked up at him. I said what’s up with you and then he says again what’s up? And then again, I said what’s up with you. At that point I just got up and left. I said myself and my wife agreed how rude you’re in the restaurant business and you come over and serve saying: what’s up? This younger generation needs to learn some manners. I heard the food is good but it matters the service. The family menu is $20+ per person.

Went for breakfast on Sun, 4/17/2024. We (2 parents) have been here several times this is our kids' firs times (2 kids). $18.99 for adult all you can eat breakfast $10.99 for the 8 yr old $7.99 for the 4 yr old Plus tax Plus 3% charge if you use a credit card Plus 18% tip we gave in cash to our server Total was $78ish Food was good and served hot. Donuts are delish as always! Efficient check in. There was a line but we sat within 5 mins of approaching the door. The staff here are efficient! I love it! They have a souvenir store attached to the restaurant if you want to spend more money. We will go back again in maybe 5 yrs. Only my husband eats a lot that we can justify spending $19 for his food. For me, $19 It's overpaying because I do not eat much. Same with the $10.99 kid. 3 stars for food, efficiency, log cabin ambiance Minus 1 star for the 3% credit card use charge Minus 1 star for the price

no issues with the basic breakfast food or the server. It was fine, nothing special. But when you just paid 85$ for 4 people without tip and never ask for a single refill on any of the food (server did bring more eggs but we didn't ask for them). We were all full and had plenty of leftover pancakes, sausage, ham and entire bowl of eggs they just brought. We asked our server for a to-go box who said yes we do have them but cost 5$ each and I don't think you would want to pay that? I literally almost lost my $h&t I was so annoyed that this restaurant that has a policy to waste food and toss perfectly good food in a garbage can or even worse have the option to re-serve our plated sausage/food to another table (not saying they do, but certainly could based on their policy). Now that Paul Bunyan's ruined my morning I grabbed all our leftovers shoved them into the free napkins (which were still free as of 4/9/24). But I will never be back to what is basically a roadside attraction. The Cute Denny's diner down the street has the same good basic breakfast food and that's where I'll be next time Im in the Dells. This was my second time at Paul's. Will not be a 3rd for me. I get that on rare occasions some people might abuse the all you can eat. But we asked for nothing extra. That policy on 5$ to go boxes should be up to the servers discretion.

Sara was the sweetest server ever and the pancakes were hands down the most delicious I've ever had, especially paired with the home made maple syrup.

Good food, adequate service. But the atmosphere was not to my taste. Too busy, too many people in the area allowed.Overall, it was a three star experience.

Definitely recommend getting there right when they open. Plenty of room to be seated and you don't feel rushed. They fill up fast though. Excellent food and excellent service, plus it's a tourist must see/
