The VUE Boutique Hotel & Boathouse

We loved our stay at The Vue!
Our room was on the river with a balcony. If you dont like lake flies, don't get a balcony room lol.
Very clean rooms, great hot tub, pool, and sauna. The girls at the front desk were amazing!

Beautiful place

The view is gteat, rooms are ok but the girl on the front desk is super rude.

Very poor Wifi (Wifi won't work most of the time). Cellar signal is also very poor (sometimes go down to 4G). Room is small and dated. Bed is not so good; waking up with back pain. Despite of staying here for 4 nights, no real room cleaning (only providing towels replacement and garbage cleaning). Thin walls and can clearly hear neighbors walking/running/showering. Elevator broken the entire time. NOT RECOMMEND.

Broken elevator, non-functioning Wi-Fi, not really friendly front desk. But lovely location (only for river view rooms - don’t get street or “garden” view). Close to town but fortunately not in town. Free attractions.

The Boathouse restaurant is AMAZING. Staff is so nice, food is great, and the scenery around it is beautiful. Just walk to it - don't stay at the Vue hotel. The TV didn't work, the water doesn't get hot, there were boogers smeared on the bathroom walls and there was BLOOD SPLATTERS! WHAT?! But other than that, it's terrible. Also I stepped out of my room in the morning and housekeeping put 4 full garbage bags against my door.

The food was delicious. We didn't stay at the hotel, only ate at the Boathouse

We just ate at the restaurant. Great dining experience! LOVE the food here!!! Great view on the water. Outdoor and indoor seating. Our new favorite place to eat.

The motel room that had 3 beds is where we stayed. Very gross. Photos included. Had a bad odor

We arrived to celebrate my daughter’s birthday and were given a room that was absolutely filthy—bugs, stains, bad odor, and a leaking tub. We reported it right away, and even contacted Expedia. The hotel now claims we said nothing—a complete lie.

They moved us to another room just as dirty. Even my 10-year-old had to explain to staff how unsanitary it was. That night, police were outside, and we were told we’d only get a refund if we left immediately—at midnight.

We checked out that same day and booked another hotel. They offered a gift card to a place we’d never stay at again instead of owning up to the conditions. Now they’re denying everything.

This review is to warn others—don’t trust the photos, and don’t risk your family’s safety.

The place is very expensive for the type of rooms it offers, even with the attractions included. My room was dirty, the mirror hadn't been cleaned for long time and even the Wi-Fi didn't work. When we went to complain to reception, they told us there was nothing they could do. It's very unfair to pay so much money for such poor service. 😞

The hotel seemed very nice as it appeared on line, so we paid for the room and when we got there the lobby seemed very nice and impressive. We checked in and when we opened the room we right away noticed what was supposed to be an awesome view of the water and landscape was clouded by large amounts of bugs and smears of debris on the outside of the windows including huge cobwebs that made it hard to see out! I noticed the fan in bathroom was short of starting a fire so we asked for another room and was given the cold shoulder, I tried to connect with management they gave me a email that didn't work. The owner avoided all communication and finally I contacted my CC company and vue ignored them as well. I have tried to contact the Mackowski brothers but cannot. Ignorance is poor business practice and it will and does reflect in your reviews. CLEAN AND FIX YOUR HOTEL
