Our waiter Carlos was awesome. The chef (Alex) came out and talked to us. Our food was excellent. I had the ribeye it was cooked perfect. If you are in the Dells I recommend you check Rubbs out. I will be back! Thank you!
Saturday night and they seated us quickly. However the restaurant was FULL of large groups of men lol. It was odd as we walked in as a family of 4 (2 adults, 2 kids). Men. Everywhere (a nod to the former occupants of the building? lol). The bartender was great before we were seated. Took a while for our server to come to our table (likely due to the large groups of men đ) so the hostess checked back and brought our drinks which we appreciated. Server did arrive and apologized for the wait, but lacked really any personality or engagement until the end when we asked for our bill and then he laid it on thick. Odd lol. Salad bar was fresh and good! But needed restocking. Ranch and shredded cheese were gone. Soups looked good, but the soups werenât labeled to know what they were and they were all broth. Clearly the guests before us had scooped out all the actual contents of the soup lol. Prime rib: My husband asked for the prime rib sandwic and was told they were out. However, he could order the prime rib dinnerâŠ? Strange. It came and was cold on the edges. Sweet potato fries were good! Chicken Alfredo: chicken was great! Alfredo was thin. The flavor would be there if it was thick! Shrimp scampi was decent. Cooked well. Rice pilaf was bland but cooked well. Needed salt, however there was no salt or pepper on the table? Odd. I was excited for the âcrispyâ Brussels. They were indeed crispy! Too much. Burnt on the edges, barely salted/unseasoned, and too firm/raw in the middle. We are local and frequent all of the supper clubs in our area. There are lots of options, and we were excited to give this place a try, especially after reading the reviews! We love finding tucked away places that as locals we donât feel suffocated by the tourists that drown the dells on weekends. Iâm not sure we will be back đ
One of my favorites!! Must try for happy hour for the exclusive menu. Soup and salad bar is the best!!!
we love the homemade soups and plentiful salad bar and their awesome steaks, and try to get there everytime we are in the Dells. Great food, you won't be disappointed.
My fiancé and I ate here a few weeks ago and had an amazing steak dinner! From the time we walked in the door until the time we left we felt welcomed and like we were a regular. The waitstaff and the owner were attentive and personable. Definitely a hidden gem!
Excellent food and service! Salad bar was amazing with homemade dressings!
Disappointed in the fish, very little flavor. The soup and salad bar was good. Like they got a new cook/ownership has changed.

Dined in with a large group as walk-ins and the team at Rubbs were courteous, kind, and helpful to seat us. The salad bar was generously stocked and tasted very fresh and delicious! Some other standouts from our meal were the flat iron steak (properly cooked to order) fish fry special, corn fritters, and old-fashioned drinks. A hidden gem, off the beaten path, that we are eager to check out again!
Kid-friendliness: Staff were very considerate and kind towards our two infant dining patrons. Our kiddo loved munching off our plates.

What a awkward place.. donât waste your money!!!They send you to bar to wait for a table when they have multiple tables open and sell you over priced mediocre drinks. The food was ridiculously over priced and horrible!! I said something to the waitress and she stood there with a stupid look on her face.. like âyaâ Iâm clearly not happy.. more power to the people that say they love it.. what because they have a salad bar .. big deal !! $150 for 3 terrible meals and 3 tasteless drinksâŠ. To respond to your rude reply the manager came to our table before we even had our food! And what overwhelm the one cook that came out and stood by the bar drinking .. good luck with your business.. lol

If I could give less than a star I would. I feel so bad for the people that work here. We ordered $57 worth of takeout and had to throw all of it in the trash. It was completely disgusting. So they had been sitting out forprobably over a week. Dry and burnt chicken breast. Rubbery hard artichoke dip. The soups smelled off. I wouldnât even risk giving it to my dog. Whoever is running this place should be absolutely ashamed of this kitchen.
